OMG.....that sort of puts the old "should I have 21" bbl/should I have an 18" bbl/should I have a 16" bbl on my FAL" argument to shame.....

are those 30 inch bbls?

29.13" barrels for the WW I German 8 X 57 Mausers according to one reference book I looked at. They liked them kind of long in those days.

Yes, they are '29s, like bykerhd says. The original bayonets for these were long, almost like swords. They make the weapon look like a pike.
