Redi-Mag or Mag-cinch for FAL?

How can I ready a second mag on the FAL? At least one mag-cinch-like setup I looked at was available for anything BUT the FAL.

What I'd really like is to cinch 2 30 rd mags together!

Thanks for any help...

I think that the problem that you will encounter is the weight of such a setup. I believe that is why mag-cinch has never made one for the longer cartridges like the 7.62 x 51mm. If you insist on going ahead with the idea you could possibly use automobile band clamps and a spacer block of some sort. I really think that you'd find 60 rounds of .308 a bit akward though. I'd recommend that you practice and become proficient doing a tactical reload.
Regards,
Jim

I have to agree with Master Blaster on this one. That sucker weighs enough already and you may end up with feed problems. A friend tried one on his FAL and the extra mag caused the primary mag to cant slightly to one side causing misfeeds. May have been just his gun but it happened.

Yes, I see your point. It certainly would be heavy, but I want it for just an in-the-house rifle that I could pick up and USE--without having to grab anything else.

Man, if you can't handle a disturbance around the house with 30 rounds of .308, don't invite me to your neighborhood!

Seriously, tho, have you thought of rigging a single mag pouch onto the buttstock? Gives another option without unbalancing the rifle or canting the mags.

Why not check into the buttstock mag pouches?
I use them on some AR-s that I have lying around and I like them alot, keeps a loaded mag right on the gun. I know they make 20rnd pouches for 7.62 rifles but I'm not sure about 30's.
Might be a good comprimise.
