Polymer-cased Amunition

Anyone had a chance to shoot any of this polymer cased ammo?I just ran into some today,it is really light compared to brass cased. It is suppossed to be coming out in 308 also.Could be an answer to the Russian ammo coming into the country today.

The last time I was at a gun show that was selling this stuff, it was selling for $0.15/rd. Polymer coated Wolf ammo sells for $0.09/rd and shoots every bit as good as Q3131A.

I really don't see a market for this stuff unless the price comes down a lot more. Its a great novelty, though. Might become popular with the tactical mall ninja mousegun crowd who are always trying to shave ounces off their rifles to make more room for all their lights and lasers and fancy optics.

Here's a link to their site. I'd wonder about running the stuff through a FA weapon but in Semi It outta do fine.

They apparently think you can run the stuff through an M249:

Yeah I saw that. Since I'm not uncle sugar and can't afford a SAW then I'll pass for now.

I ran a quick field test on a few mags of the 5.56 poly cased, and posted a review and pix last month or so.

Several torn off necks...gawd knows where or how they went. Mediocre accuracy in my Mini (even considering!)

I'd rather have a guaranteed "bang" w/o the worry, than save a few ounces.

Best,
Paul

A friend of mine ran some through his AR and had several case seperations also. Seperated up around the neck. Not for me.

What kind of answer is needed for the Russian ammo coming into the country today?

None.

Or, equally good ammo manufactured in this country that is as cheap as the Russian.

I sure won't hold my breath for that to happen...

Meanwhile, bang, bang, with the Wolf.
