Good news on your purchase on the 300 Wby Vangard. I have owned a 300 MK 5 for over 20 years, I have fired over 1300 rounds of ammo. For good brass buy the Remington 300 Wby in bulk for about 45.00 per hundred. I would also try IMR 7828 powder and Fed 215 mag primer. Use the Nosler data and it should work good for you. If the rifle kicks too much you might try putting the action in a Boyd stock and adding a good pad. And a KDF muzzle break if is still beats you up too much. The 300 is really great and I really love mine and my load is a 180 Nosler partition at 3300 fps. Good luck and great shooting. HTH RM
