TAPCO Memorial day sale

Big sale ends monday at 8. Free shipping so I wrote an order for 140 then see the hook. free shipping ended at 1800 friday. telephone orders only. Guess they planned on hooking suckers. So stopped ordering dumped it all and said thanks for letting me stay up till 3 on a week end ordering nothing. Might have spent over 250 but see now why they are so will loved. Guess I'll order from honest people in stead. Great work buddy

I have similar feelings. I only found the "Free Shipping" after it was over. The "sale" was only announced on one board I could find and not one of the several I check regularly. The original post was at 10:30 AM Friday (1.5 hours into the free shipping period which started at 9). There was no advance notice of the free shipping so the many of us had to work Friday were far from our computers by 10:30.

There were sale items I would have bought totalling well over the $75 minimum.

Oh well...

I didn't really get that either. I saw it was a memorial blowout w/ free shipping, but the free shipping ends days before Memorial Day?! Wacky..

I put a large order in before friday to qualify for the free shipping, but since it was over a certain weight, I had to pay $13 shipping anyway. No big deal but if the ad stated free shipping, then it should be free shipping in my opinion.

Kind of peculiar that a sale on an interent site for Memorial Day weekend demands you call a phone number during working hours prior to the weekend to take advantage of a major component of the offer.

Thiis seems to be a ongoing problem in Tapco's marketing - they often offer good values but tend to mislead their customers into thinking they are going to get an even better value - or at least more then Tapco is willing to deliver. I think they are shooting themselves in the foot as I would have found a reason to order twice as much stuff to get free shipping.

In any case they are offering some good prices in the sale even with the S/H charges. I ended up ordering a buttstock and carry handle.

I had signed up for Tapco's email notification of their specials, and got their notification of this sale Friday morning (Edit: notified Thursday morn.) . I ordered $130 of FAL parts at very, very good discounts, and got the free shipping.

In the Tapco email, the Friday limitation of the free shipping was clearly stated.

Even without the free shipping, the discounts were very good, for example, Izzy forward assist charging handle, USA made, regular price $49.99, sale price $29.99. Mag loaders for $0.99.

Yes it is very odd that they offer free shipping over the holiday but they really don't if you read the fine print. Odd.

I put a phone order in last night and told them I wanted the free shipping.
I will be pissed if I get charged for it.

I ordered almost $200 from them on 5/28 and got the free shipping but the order has not been shipped yet! Come on, it's not that hard to turn around orders. I turn mine around in less than 48hrs. because that is what I expect. Updates as warranted.

The shipping shoud be free (special) because they overcharge for shipping every other day. I stopped oredering from them (small parts) because of the overpriced shipping. They sent me the wrong parts once and it cost me $3.85 priority mail to return it for exchange. The shipping to me I was boned about tem bucks on my original order.

My TAPCO order came in yesterday, almost $300.00 of stuff.
They had some good deals,
US gas pistons for $17.00
US stock with butt pad (Penguin Arms) and US pistol grip (Century), $20.00
Carry handles (SAW type) for $8.00.

With the price of FSE H,T,S going to $70.00 I am looking for other US parts I can use.

And I got the free shipping.

I check my order it looks like they may try to charge shipping, but the stock is on backorder. I emailed them to see whats up. It is wrong to bait and switch
I read that add a few times and missed the end of the free shipping, I placed my order by phone and asked the tottle there was no shipping charge then.

My $130 order made by phone Thursday, May 27th. Checked my Order Status online. It has my correct order, but it says no shippment made. But I got the free shipping.

I emailed Tapco an inqurey about my shipping status yesterday, June 4th. No answer yet. My order still not shipped today per their web site Order Status.

I wanted to order some of the US FAL gas pistons but I was not sure if things were misprinted or what. It was strange to have a special for a holiday that ends before the holiday starts. I just held off and missed out.

I was registered for the E mail specials. Had to read several times to see the free shipping ended at 500pm that Friday. Started calling about 400pm to the extensions listed, but kept getting recorded messages that the guys were busy, leave my number and I would be called back. Yea right!! So I called the 800 number and camped on placing an order selection. Got right through. Package arrived today, gas pistons, PSAW stocks and PG's along with ten steel G3 mags. Free shipping, good packaging and the used G3 mags were excellent condition with the exception of three which were very good. Too bad Tapco cant work out their differences with the Files and get back here again!!

I ordered a USA Fal gas piston and 2 Stripper top cover scope mounts,now I wish I ordered more stuff.I didn't realize it was a sale,I thought that was there regular prices!

Got my stuff yesterday, slow even for TAPCO. The product was as advertised so no complaints there. I know I shouldn't but I will probably order more from them.
