Here's my list: Imbel parts kit GunThings Imbel Gear Logo receiver- FAC US parts set - FAC MUZZLE Device - Entreprise Zero-Climb Gunsmithing - M&M Gunsmithing Thanks in advance John

That Entreprise Zero-Climb has a tendancy to cause the but to slap your cheek pretty hard. You might want to get some more input, but I have shot 2 rifles with one on them and they both would slap you like a red-headed step child!

Resist the temptation to make your first F A L a carbine. Save that for your next build.

I make my own muzzle brakes, so I cannot help you with a suggestion on that subject. I can however highly recommend buying one of the StG 58 complete front ends from DS ARMS .You will not be disappointed with it. |

If you're not in a hurry, wait until September and put on the OEM flash hider. No way that .308 needs a brake.

I just did an Imbel kit build on a Coonan receiver(one of the BOHICA blems, actually) - and it couldn't have went together any easier... For a 1st timer, I couldn't believe how easy it actually went - I DID have an experienced FALfiler walk me through the process, though - thanks, FP1201!!! I've had ZERO issues with this build, and after 300rnds or so, it's yet to have a malfunction of ANY kind - except when dialing in the gas setting(set @ 5), which is to be expected... I'd recommend the Dan Coonan receivers, based on my extremely limited experience...

Get one of the brakes sold by DSA. Don't get the Stoll imitation as its heavy and only correct on a stg58.
Get: Furniture from Penguin (3 parts) H/T/S set from FSE (3 parts) DSA brake (1 part) And you'll be legal. |

I use the DSA 3 hole brake. It works well. The side blast will get you if you are not the shooter and standing close.

TAPCO sells an STG look-alike brake that looks really good and seems to work well enough. My dad bought an FAL that came with one from ORF and it seems to work well enough.
