stiff bold hold open

The first bolt hold open in a Gun Plummbet built G1 clone seems like the spring is too stiff and doesn't go up enough to grab the bolt. The springs are old but where I live the mag has to be blocked to 15 rounds, so even empty there is still 5 rounds of extra pressure. When a type B was put in from the Tapco bag - goods it works fine. Anybody have any ideas to fix the type a bolt hold open?

Thanks

Take the BHO out and smear it with lapping compound and slide it back in and work it up and down until it slides freely. On most refinished guns...you have to beak it in before it will function right. I am sure there is just a burr that is making it hard to move.
