people use the strangest things as cleaning tools
Got this Remington 740 today that for some reason the owner thought it'd be a good idea to use a chain saw file to knock the rust out of the bore. Got it stuck, so the brainiac, using all two of his functioning brain cells, thought Hey, I'll poke this other file down there and that'll work.
broke that one right off, and both were securely affixed to the chamber/bore.

here's what was in there. and it's relative position.
Took an old FAL op rod down the muzzle to get it all out. Can't say that the rifling or chamber is in "pristine" condition after the beating it took to get the foreign matter removed but it wasn't cherry before either, as you can see by the crud on the breach. Almost the dirtiest gun I've ever worked on.

Or stab him in the heart with the now damaged barrel and chalk it up to Firearm Darwinism.

I'm kind of surprised he didn't just try shooting it out.

My dad uses the "J" shaped clear plastic piece that was originally designed to be a "laser-gun" on a STAR_WARS Imperial 4-legged walker I got for Christmas about 20 years ago as a fiber optic bore lighting device when he's cleaning guns.
Shortly after I received the toy for Christmas, the piece mysteriously went missing. Now it's the only surviving part of the toy. I currently see similar devices for sale that are intended for that exact same purpose.
