Need help on L1A1 (pics)

I am wondering what your thoughts on an FAL are. It currently belongs to a friend but I might be able to buy it and wanted your input. It appears to be a pretty standard L1A1 Imbel receiver imported by Century. Beyond that I don’t really know too much about it and was hoping to find out more from you folks.

Thanks, J

Serial Number: 127xxx

Marking on right rear of lower receiver.

Looks like your standard metric FAL. It is built upon an Imbel receiver. I gather by the L1A1 it take inch mags? If it runs you should be good to go. Front end could be STG, lower appears to be South African.

The receiver is cut for inch pattern mags.

It's a frankenfal, but if you want a correct rifle then you will have to make 3 out of one rifle A inch , a south African and a STG58. After that you will be hopelessly addicted.
