Aftermarket stock and mechanism for a Ruger Mini14?
Kinda neat, but I would get a black plastic forend to match.
I've had the same basic idea for a Mauser, but never tried it.

I have an Enfield folder that Gunga Din did (rest his soul). I'll have to dig it out and post some pics.

That's a laugh !. Why someone would go to the trouble to make a "tactical" blunderbuss is beyond me. The seller fails to note the ejector screw is missing and hence won't expel fired brass.
This fantasy falls under the whole "tanker enfield" wackyness.

That rates up there with the folding stock tompsons from that U571 movie...

You'all think the rear sight is missing because firing it would bend it in half and put your eye out,
or because he had one of those no-drill sniper scope mounts and some Leapers glass on there ?...

There's no way that $75 Enfield is a $450 rifle.

I think I threw up in my mouth a little... Fortunately though it looks like an original stock would have it back to where it should be pretty easily.

It looks reversible.Just needs a butt stock and hardware. Its a Savage built rifle, probably the best of any Enfield made. I actually have an entire set for exactly that rifle.

nonsense

maybe somewhat true for #4s but if you think a lousy Savage is a better "Enfield" than early #1s built by Lee Speed, Sparkbrook and other English firms
Well you must be getting some of that happy weed mailed in from the Left Coast

Here's how it works RG

The early #1s were nearly commercial quailty builds
this held true up through the start of WWI, same with Webley products.
During the great war external finishing diminished but they were still extremely high quality builds.

In the lead up to the second world war the English elimintated things to make an easier and cheaper to make gun. That's the #4 which actually is not seen as an SMLE.
So let's get all critical on #4 builds
War time English became rather rough externally
Savage contracts were only very slightly better

The absolute best of the #4s were those that came out of Long Branch in Canada. We see them a bit up here as plenty drifted across the border but they really are not all that common elsewhere. Canucks surplused a ton to the public in the 60s and 70s, just dirt cheap...a few bucks shipped to your door.

put a Savage against Long Branch, no comparision.

Late Fazakery guns are decent, understand Enfield variants were still being built up through the early 60s, actually much later but I'm talking .303s

Again ?
Savage is just trash

BEST Enfield ?

Run down an early action, rebuild it to a rifle with all New old stock bits
probably cost you at least $600 today
I mentioned here in the past I was actively into this up to maybe eight years back importing pre 1899 actions that we built up with NOS #1mk3 barrels, furniture and shit. Only sucky thing is most of the antique actions lacked the charger guide. I was totally fine with that
Add a Parker Hale or BSA target receiver sight, a tack driver

Savage ?
just wartime lend lease trash

Say what you want about "tanker Enfields".

I like them, but I also like short para fal too.

Picked up an ishapore 2a1 turned into a "jungle mk5" by Gibbs Rifle.

I really like 7.62 nato in 18/20" barrels..very handy and the wood stocks look classy.

I have to agree for the most part here. I have a 1911 Enfield made SMLE. It's one of the earliest made for the Mk VII SA ball - not FTR'd to handle it . It is about museum quality and that bugger is a tack driver.
My Eddystone Patt'14 is also in the same class of condition and it is by far the most accurate 303 rifle I have ever shot.
I had an FTR'd Long Branch No4 that I got from a grenada vet whom stole it from a Dominican cop guarding Cubans. That No4 could shoot super with 185 grain pulled argy bullets and Accurate 2230 powder. Have a FTR'd Longbranch that's no slouch either...but can't hold a candle to the No1 Mk11 or the Patt'14 I have though.
