Inch Top Cover
I have 2 dust covers. One is marked with a "B" on the right side tab. The other is an Enfield with the D E overstrike symbol on the left side. Is the "B" marked a BSA? Also the Enfield one is slightly longer and will not fit on my inch cut Imbel. Want to use this as all other parts on the build are Enfield stamped. It looks like it is longer in the back by a few mm. Hate to cut it. I might just keep the b marked one on it and let the enfield go with a kit.

I would just keep the BSA. I'm not sure why people get hung up and try so hard to make an all BSA or all Enfield rifle. They were released from the factory with mixed parts as they swapped back and forth when either place was low on items.
Here's a pic from Pat's thread of a new Brit L1A1 at Quantico that has parts from multiple factories on it:

Some guns are OK to be mixmaster! The British L1A1 is one example. The American Garand is another. A Gew98 Mauser? Hell NO! |

Good to see the "F60" marked charging handle slide in that photo. I won't feel bad putting the same on an "E60" upper and lower L1A1 project. Maybe there were no "E60" marked slides manufactured?
