Outstanding video! I hope there is a way to accommodate doubling the attendance next year, because I'm thinking demand will be there.

Not a bit, man! I'm the guy who will jump headfirst in a mud pit, drag my rifle through gravel, and drive my Jeep off a cliff just to see if it will still work afterward. But grab some mag feed lips with a Leatherman and I start to get twitchy.

I did clean the AK with a garden hose and an air compressor last night if it makes you feel any better. I'm pretty proud of how well that homemade POS held up!

Working on that already - thanks again for coming, and I wish we had more time to talk there!

Great video, Matt. And what a fantastic event - you're definitely got a winner going. People will be clamoring for more.

Especially if they can pre-register and pay with PayPal F&F option!

Hey, I know this thread is dead but I wanted to share an unintended consequence of bringing my family to this event:

Since returning home, I have been subjected to multiple Nerf gun r-n-g "event" courses setup throughout my house designed and RO'd by my 9 year old son. Timed on an iPad Mini, course of fire varies, and obstacles are real and sometimes include a dynamic element such as moving targets and moving obstacles obstructing possible targets. Impressive and challenging!

Sad part is that I have DNF'd several of his stages too! Thanks again Matt, you may have inspired something bigger than you could have imagined!

Outstanding! Have him run with you next year, and set the hook. He can do all the obstacles and cheer you on while you shoot. Until he gets old and mature enough to start running his own rifle, of course...which will happen faster than you think.

Good times, indeed! I'm just glad my wife was slow on the trigger when you gave me that big muddy hug and a kiss...

Zoom in and notice the down pour. It was like running in a car wash! The mud pits at stage one were quite the mess Friday morning. For the later runners, like Stimp, it was much worse (I think he was running when the thunder and lightning was striking too). Most of my gear acted as a "mud-rake" since I left the FAL on my back (stupid move, I know) and I had to get quite low to keep from getting caught up in the wire. Nice thing about the rain after going through the mud was that my gear was a little cleaner each time I showed up to a later stage. Matt was only that clean because he was out, back, and changed over greeting me, cussing him, as I passed under the archway.

...now as far as optics or my glasses doing any good in this weather?! ...whole nother story all together since it was not only pouring rain, but cold too!

Save the date: The 2018 3G4V Run N Gun, Presented by Rockcastle Shooting Center, will be on March 17th and 18th in 2018. We will tentatively offer a 5k on the 17th and a 10k on the 18th, but we have a lot of details yet to work out before we confirm that. You can sign up for either, or both -

Registration will be about 90 days prior to match date again. Work won't really start on this for another 6 months or so, so don't ask TOO many questions yet. But start training...
