If you're still adding to the sheet then I'm in. And those stages sound fantastic. Especially loving the longer range stuff.

Super keen to do this. Can't wait for March!

And the stages sound like a ton of fun. Love the resurrection of the 'Blackhawk Down!' stage.

Stage 1 will be a miniature recreation of the infamous 'Blackhawk down' stage we ran at a FAL match years ago. Expect to be uncomfortably situated in an enclosed space and have to make 8 pistol shots (12-20feet) followed by 12 rifle shots at 50 yards. Practising kneeling and sitting positions would be a good idea.

Stage 2 will be fired from the beautific 600 yard firing line on RBGCs amazing Highpower range. You'll need to make 3 hits on a full size torso target at 300 yards, then 3 more hits on a torso target at 400 yards, and finally a single hit on a torso target at 600 yards. This is also the highest point on the course...of course.

Stage 3 "Charge!" will have 8 rifle shots on 8"wx14"t steel at 100 yards followed by 12 pistol hits on paper targets appearing as you move forward from the rifle position after clearing your rifle.

Stage 4 "Going in blind" Will be 4 targets shot twice each to neutralize but watch out for the no shoots everywhere.

Stage 5 "Body armor" is an option rifle stage at close range. You have 5 bad guys in armor, so single head shots or double-tapped A-zones to nuetralize.
My questions are as follows, and are informed by imagining I'm viewing these descriptions through my 16 year old son's eyes...

1. Enter the helicopter (seated or kneeling) and then drawing any handgun = could be covering lots of important body parts. Do you imagine that participants will:

a) pull rifle off of back and show clear

b) 'stow' rifle near helicopter or in helicopter

c) draw handgun and enter helicopter?

Help me understand the participant 'progression' through this stage.

2. Got it. Shoot bad guys. Unlimited number of shots on 600 yard guy - or is this a 'One Shot' deal?

3. Got it. Assuming a guy can kneel or do whatever he needs to get the rifle hits at 100. Clear rifle, sling, and move forward.

4. Rifle or pistol?

5. Got it.

And are you cool with either:

a) Jonathan and I running this together as ROs, or

b) Jonathan running this (no weapons) along side me on Friday, and then running it himself as participant / competitor on Saturday while I'm doing RO duties?

I think my first choice is 'A' if that is cool with you. I'd like to be there to watch on his first-ever run.

Rifle will be shown clear on arrival and placed in 'da choppa'.
Pistol will be shown clear and also placed in 'da choppa' (I will add a box to the setup to provide consistency)

Shoot pistol target til down, all must be shot before proceeding to rifle. Pistol goes in box.
Load rifle and engage rifle targets.
Clear rifle.
Clear pistol.

2. Got it. Shoot bad guys. Unlimited number of shots on 600 yard guy - or is this a 'One Shot' deal? No limit...no Louis mag-dumps either though.

3. Got it. Assuming a guy can kneel or do whatever he needs to get the rifle hits at 100. Clear rifle, sling, and move forward. Rifle will be cleared before moving forward, correct.

4. Rifle or pistol? Pistol

5. Got it.

I thought you were already on the list.

Or maybe you were in the 'fickle' column and now moving to 'firm'?

Yeah, lets go with the second one. I was in the fickle, but I'm gonna go ahead and commit to doing this. I'll work it out with the wife. I may end up doing the dishes for the next 10 years for all the RnGs I wanna do.

My household is stoked. Can't wait.

Yes to all the "cleared" and "staged" weapons in 'da choppa'.

Hey Stimp, in context it ain't all that great I supose but I dig how it sounds.

The "Louis mag dump". Hahahaha!

It was just that one time. My first time at a match, I may have been a bit exited.

Can't wait to see everyone!

...RiFAL was all in one piece (until DSA took it back apart for me)! Moses Mag on the other hand, well we all saw how that ended up.

Luv it!!! These be the times we sit around the fire remembering. Sort of like "Service Blouses" in a cave!!!

It'll make sense when we get there.

Heck, last time I made shooters lie down in a morass of spent 308 brass and shotshells and jump up on the beep.

This time I think we 'go' from kneeling or sitting in the choppa with pistol loaded and at a low ready.

You forgot to add "sort through that pile for the live shotgun rounds so you could load and fire"

You might want to bring back the clays for an added up close challenge. Says the guy who isn't going to be shooting at them, heh heh.

There will be close pistol steel to deal with.

What is the itinerary going to be? R/O's shoot on Friday and the rest of the wild children on Saturday? Just checking so I can start planning reservations and such.
