Show us your DSA build!

If you guys are interested...

I want to do an Instagram and Facebook series featuring customer builds with DSA products. We'll give the builders credit. Please include a small description.

We really love seeing all the awesome builds you guys are doing. You guys help shape the future of the FAL. A legacy started in 1954 and is still kicking ass today! Feel free to post here or email to marketing@dsarms.com

Thanks

This C1A1 8L was developed and engineered (barrel and front sight) by member SLR5000 (Pat Jones RIP). The C1A1 was assembled by member Adam762 on a DSA Australian type inch cut receiver. The C1A1 is currently the centerpiece of my collection.

Wow! Talk about turning a sow's ear into a silk purse. I gave up on the cuban thing quite early.

This isn't a DSA receiver, but it is an Imbel Type III kit built on an Imbel Type III receiver by DS Arms (February 2019). It has a DSA bolt carrier.

The early Canadian C1's up to about serial numbers 2000 were built on a metric pattern receiver to inch specifications and employed the standard L1A1 handguards. I used a DSA R1 receiver converted.

As always man, you do BEAUTIFUL work. I personally wish we had a better working relationship with ARS. The community could really benefit from that.

If you're cool with it, I'd be more then happy to post a few of your builds as well.

yep, as long as I'm credited - most are watermarked anyway

more here - including non-dsa builds

https://arizonaresponsesystems.com/s...l-l1a1-armory/

I have a couple descriptions matched to wrong image I need to fix next week. (obviously if there's a gear logo it's not a DSA)

Also any I've sent you that say "small" (1000 dpi) mean I have a larger one of 2500-3000 dpi.

Off topic but...

Things for Jayson seem to have taken a turn for the worse recently, he's had some life "set backs" and has almost completely fell off the radar. Here's to hoping he can recover, recoup, and salvage his reputation.

Yes it would and thank you. I had asked Flypaper for a "plain Jane" straight grain butt stock and after applying some wood stain it was surprise, surprise!

2 honorable mentions. Prior to DSA making their own Type 1 receivers DSA sold Type 3 Argentine receivers and converted some to Type 1 1992-93.
Other than few limited number of Type 1 Israeli and Australian L1A1 A receivers these were the only Type 1's on the market.
A little known fact is DSA also sold Type 3 SAR-48 and SAR-4800 receivers in the early 1990's.

Resizing is cool. Photos that display at 3' wide actual size are not.

Here's two more Romats from last week. Uneventful receivers (Yay!)

Receivers distressed to match parts kits.

Sorry, I don't know why the pic showed up so large, I didn't do anything different. After twenty minutes of trying to figure it out I gave up and deleted the post. Maybe I'll figure it out later.

Edit: Ok, these are more acceptable, though still not ideal. PB sucks and for some reason tonight it's sucking more than usual.

One of my Dave supplied receiver builds.

Pat supplied the stainless steel barrel.
It also has Dave's mfg scope mount.

It also has a std lower as seen so you could call it a convertible FAL.
