.22 LR Conversion Kit

Just arrived.

Going to be taking it out when the rain stops next week.

Sig was discontinuing the kits and selling them for $170 so I suddenly NEEDED one.

Half-way decent reviews.

Too bad they're no longer available at that price! Magazines are common to other .22 kits and still available (got a couple more)

yep bought the 22 conversion for a p229 some years ago. Its not a match
grade rig but a good plinker for fun.
It is very picky on ammo, better with plenty of power.

I bought the .22 LR conversion unit for the P226. It came with two ten round magazines made of plastic. Bought three more magazines from CDNN.

It has proven to be a reliable unit as long as I feed it good quality high speed ammo such as the CCI Mini-Mag and the Winchester Super-X. I tried some of the cheaper CCI Blazer and it just wasn't reliable.

I field stripped my P220 and found that the conversion unit fit it okay. But the .22 LR magazines for the P226 can't be used because they are too wide.

Now if I could just find a reasonably priced .22 unit for my Sig P210-6.....

And so it goes.

Not quite a range report but indeed, you NEED the hotter long rifle loads. She functions well with CCI Stinger and CCI Mini Mag after about 300 rounds yesterday afternoon.

NONE of the other standard velocity ammo fed well. As expected, too weak to cycle the action.

Did NOT do any patterning, just did some plinking in one of our local BLM shooting areas.

At least I didn't go out and buy a brick of standard velocity ammo.

Wifey has an old gallery rifle that she got from her Father. We can use it to burn up the ammo - or give it to other shooters at the BBQ next month.

Though the conversion kit is no longer offered, the magazines ARE available. GSG GERMM 1911 Magazine

I picked up 2 more magazines. Steel, rugged, fed perfectly in my Sig 1911
