Venison today and not at Arby's...

Couple pics of my 3 point I got last Sunday with my 6.5 Grendel build.

No Arby's for venison today. Backstrap with tators and eggs for breakfast.

Here is another buck {forked horn} with some Grendel carnage. Hornaday 123 grain SST. This was hit on a dead run in the eye and out the snout.

I've got a 10 Pt coming by on the property. He may be in for a tough winter. No predictors here and he'll come with in 25 yds of the house. I'm just waiting to see

Yep, SN waiting. Gun season opens in 2 weeks.. That deer of your isn't much smaller than this one. They don't have much to eat here but grass. My property is in a sub. But the suppressor should keep it from being everyone's business

Think about the car or pickup you might save too. Around here the Muleys get big. Real big.

I was checking on Tx game laws. If that was a whitetail you couldn't take it in many counties. You can take a spike or the antlers have to be a least 13" wide at the widest point of the primary antlers. Basically extend beyond the outside of the ears.

Shit we are overrun with the fuggers here. Come on down

Nice shot too SN. Did he just pile drop over like a sack of rocks.

Man oh man!

These plate shots you put up always make me think that I'm not getting it done over here. Them's some tasty lookin' vittles.

Nice shot on the deer. You probably love that Grendel build - I keep thinking I should do one.

Thank you, Brother.

Arby's needs to stick to processed meats.

Course, you could have let Bambi there grow a few years.

Just to make you jealous. I have 75 pounds of burger plus 25 pounds of cube steaks plus 15 pounds of backstrap (butterflied) in the freezer, with 10 sticks of summer sausage at the processor, and still have 2 months left in the season.

We just went to a new tag for each deer system and my season allotment for tags totals 18 deer (does and bucks). They may not be as big as the ones out west, but they sure are tasty.

That sized "bambi" is just right for eating. Fill the tag, fill the freezer.

I let one guy grow for a couple of years. Then, the night before opening day, he got hit by a car RIGHT IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.

That's correct - I came back Friday night for a Saturday morning opening, and saw the 4x4 lying in my ditch - all gut busted and ass-chewed by a coyote.

So. Freaking. Pissed. Everyone here tell me about all the big 4x4 blacktail they've shot in the valley or the coast range of Oregon.

I looked for horn size and weight but couldn't find it in this awesome venison roast stew... from my garden, potatoes, carrots and onions with a little bambi thrown in just because. Oh and homemade bread.

Nice kill dude! I'm not a fan of venison. IMHO venison is only good for blended summer sausage and jerkey. (Please note, I do not hunt) Elk is different. I'll eat the heck out of any elk you harvest!

Go Rams!

Cool!!! Did your kid go with you? That's real good father, son bonding time right there.

We're elk hunting over here next weekend. Jimmy's still on leave so he'll be able to go.

Chicken-fried venison backstrap is my favorite meat dish I do believe. Make a pan of gravy, fry up some fries, a little lightbread, fresh onion slices...dayum. I can seriously hurt myself with that. Great pics sir!
