Reasonably-priced ambi safety?

I'm looking for an AK safety that can be manipulated by the firing hand thumb (left side). Doesn't need a bolt hold open notch or anything fancy on the dust cover side.

Tantal is one of the only AK designs specifically designed with a safety on the left side. It is comfortable and easy to access although STIFF because you are not only manipulating left side small safety lever but ALSO the large rightside dustcover/safety lever. It's a LOT OF MASS/FRICTION TO MOVE WITH JUST A FLICK OF THE THUMB. There are few accessories that improve the function of an AK...a ambi safety is definitely LOW on the list and 100% NOT an improvement unless adding a tedious and difficult to use procedure is your idea of "improving" something.

I am NOT slamming you for wanting the safety improved. Just "improving" such a simple "platform" with TACTICAL features often does NOT give desired results. Some form of decent rail will give you 100x more benefit to the function of an AK than a safety "upgrade" or mag release extension.

The AK is a brutally simple machine... trying to turn it into something more only takes YOU and the design BACKWARDS....learn the system and accommodate it. Trying to force an AK to be a AR15 or something else more "tactical" is a mistake. Embrace the simplicity and use it to your advantage. Force it to become something it is not....and it will fail you

The AK is a range toy, nothing more. While I am competent with its handling, I have AR's and an XCR for the tacticool stuff. I'd take my G3 or MAS 49-56's for anything serious long before I reached for the AK. The safety is simply a point of irritation, If I don't do anything about it, no harm, no foul. If I can improve that area of operation cheaply and effectively, excellent. Peace!

For what it's worth, I just drilled with mine until I could operate the selector with my support hand.

Reaching under the rifle with the support hand (presumably the left) to activate /deactivate the safety? Hadn't thought of that.
