Oh hell, you could fly in for a couple hours. Just stay away from the crazies at the SeaTac airport.

I will gladly host the Ironsman Challenge.

Iron sighted firearms only

First is the rifle component.

The IRONSMAN CHALLENGE is a measure of skill.
Make one hit on a defined target with one available round in a specific time frame. This is NOT a DRILL! The easiest measure of a marksman is their time on target.

An ironsman rifle shooter can, all within 5 seconds, assume a firing position from standing low ready and fire one round into a 6 inch circle at 100 yards.

As the esteemed Merritt Edson said, "One hundred rounds do not constitute firepower. One hit constitutes firepower."

Second is the handgun component.

An ironsman handgun shooter can, all within 5 seconds, assume a firing position from standing low ready and fire one round into a 6 inch circle at 25 yards.

After dealing with I-90/I-18 traffic for a little bit now,
might be leaving Saturday nights from this shindig from now on.

Its really worse than city traffic during the summer.

Last September, 20 miles outside of Ellensburg it slowed
down to 45 until over Snoqualmie.

Think I left around 11am.

If the fires keep up, might be different.

Jason, if you leave early enough Sunday morning, you'll beat a lot of the traffic.

I've got an odd bit of brass I've collected- was going to offer to bring it along if anyone was interested. I was thinking whomever is interested could donate to the administrative/honey bucket/scotch fund in lieu of purchasing it. I have some .30-30,.270, 7mm rem mag, 9mm luger, .40 s&w, .45 acp, .257 Roberts, .243 win, 8mm mauser.. I imagine those of you who reload are probably all set but thought I'd throw it out there.

I've another Imbel barrel on a Rhodie clone, seems to shoot real nice groups. Going to give 'er a go and see what happens. The kneeling stage will be a bother, still working on a stable position for that stage.

The biggest problem with religion is those who claim to know Jesus, then turn around and deny Him with their lifestyle. That is what a unbelieving world, simply finds unbelievable.

Before you die, you should have a will with extra copies. The old saying "No one will screw you faster than family" is bloody well true.

You could always ask to shoot the second stage of that event "offhand".
I doubt if you would be denied that opportunity.

My hips and knees only work 'at work', then they fail me at other times.
Flexibility is not one of their attributes.

Yeah, my knees will allow the straight down thing, but the hips do not like the drop and sit part anymore.

It's important to have diversity and offer safe spaces. If your going to experiment with black powder, it's best done in the light of day with family to support you.

Don't worry, there is always enough powder left for cauterization
