Hey dude, this big plan of retirement you have, how does it work out if printing and spending collapses like you say it will? 8 years from now what happens when money is no good like you say? How will you pay for healthcare? What will you work for?

Only an idiot who thinks FRNs were ever something else than what they are today could possibly make a statement such as this.

Nothing has changed with the way FedRes works since 1913 except the size of the debt and the size of the money supply. But as you insist on riding the short bus here listen up: There has NEVER been enough FRNs in existence to buy back the debt. Never, ever, ever, not since the very first one was printed has there ever been a time where the amount of money would even come close to resolving the debt.

It ain't a case of the money being 'gone', its a case of whether it was ever money at all and if so, is there enough to stave off bankruptcy. To the first question that's really in the eye of the beholder and most would seem to think it is. But the answer to the second, more important question is a resounding no.

And as most thinking people know, insolvency is a bit like pregnancy. Ya either are or you're not, how far along doesn't matter.

Sitting around waiting for a govt check, no so much.

Well, folks have been enjoying it for the last, what is it, 100+ years? I earned the sit down time by being productive. I don't wait for the checks to come in to spend them. I retired with my own money early, at 62 I was able to get out of the workforce and enjoy life. Life is good.

In all honesty I didn't earn it all on my own, I worked with a lot of good men on crews that were very productive. Building things that people use every day.
