Drill size for gas tube retention pin hole?
I traded for a carbine FAL a couple months back. It was covered in OD green paint. An Imbel kit, on an Imbel upper. While stripping off the paint, I could not remove the gas tube. I wrenched it off, damaging it in the process. I found a replacement tube online, and it would not thread in. Closer inspection revealed a burrr where the retention pin fits.
Anyone know what size drill bit is needed to clear out the hole? Worst case scenario is I replace the GB. |

Pin is .078" 5/64"
I would go a step down to #48 or #49 because I don't want to risk making the hole any bigger than pin.
