I have a 03A3

A Smith Corona 03A3

A Smith Corona 03A3 with all the metal pieces (but the barrel) Smith Corona (per the guys on the CMP forums who helped me go over it part by part)

And this S.C. 03A3 rifle has one of the 5,000 barrels that high standard got from Savage (6 grove commerical, easy to spot) and turned down as part of the war effort because they didn't know if a typewriter company could keep up.

Bought a collection a non gun guy had inherited in the 70's, that was in it.

Honorable mention:
A presentation grade daisy caseless ammo .22, only one I've ever seen with the paperwork, hangers, and I have ~2,700 rounds (fired it 1x)

Oh, I have a 1949 Russian SKS. (First year of production.) I've been told only 3,500 were made the first year, but I have not verified this.

Probably forgetting something.

I guess it's the 1929 year that makes it rare. ?

I'm not an expert on the Swedish stuff, though. The only other Swedish rifles that I know a little about are the M41 and M41B snipers.

I actually have a 1897 C96 mauser-gen-u-wine antique ,along with a cool 450adams breaktop revolver that is fully engraved and has a push button on the bottom of the grip, the grip swings back and the sideplate pivots down to reveal the innards.. never seen another like it..

Then there is 'Kate' my Bren MK2 reweld that is a bit of a cranky pretty bitch...not rare weird or unknown but......

That long thing in the middle, a Winchester 1895 Musket. Someone shaved the bayo lug and front band in the early part of the last century; it bugs me, but according to Craig Gottlieb, I am to leave it as is, it has a history of it's own....

Stubbed my toe on my Colt Banker’s Special last night and thought of this thread. It is not exceptionally rare I suppose but it pretty cool. Little nickeled snub .22 LR with Gen-u-Wine Mother Of Pearl grips. Might drop the little Rosco in my britches pocket and go out juking Saturday night.

1871 mauser single shot turnbolt sporting rifle in 11.4X47R in 200 meter offhand austrian 1880's configuration. at this time it was illegal in germany for civilians to own guns in the martial caliber of the state, so this gun was made to fit a cartridge nearly identical to the italian 1870 Vetterli round.

more rare, a commission carbine in 7X57 that i sold a few years ago

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same.

Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?"
"In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad."
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Max.
"You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here."

I had a snub nose nickle plated .32 cal Colt "lemon squeezer" hammerless breaktop until my wife saw me cleaning it one day and said "how cute ,, I'll have that"
The gun had a interesting history,,, I got it 55 years ago in a retirement party and going out of business sale from a 150 year old cat house madam down in Papalotte Texas who claimed to have bought it new and only shot a few customers for non-payment of services with it,,, she kept it hidden under one of her ample bosoms,,, the one tattoo labelled for a brand of booze they stopped making when Prohibition became law,,, the gun was in pristine shape,,, body oil was her secret preservative,,, that gun has probably been places and done things my wife is better off not knowing about.
It's early history is what they make movies about today.

My pride and joy is a NDM 86 in original caliber.

My rare rifle, though nothing too special is a Liege marked Finnish M91 Mosin Nagant. That marking is pretty rare according to 7.62x54r.net

Both nice pieces, and you are correct- your Leige marked Finn Mosin is a scarce gun.

I do, too - and it's been proven many times.

Sort of rare one is my 98k with both Waffenampts and Imperial eagles, 1937 model, made by Sauer & Sohn. If that gun could only talk.....
