Measuring FN49 locking lugs

How do you measure them and what is the range/steps?

Reason I ask is that all I find is some mention about sizes going from 00 to some positive integer number. There has to be a lookup table somewhere.

Here are the locking lugs I have, measuring the thickness at the flat that rubs against the bolt when it locks in place.
  1. 0.3080" -
  2. 0.3085" -
  3. 0.3120" -
  4. 0.3125" -

Don't know if where I am measuring is accurate but that is what I measured.

If we ASSume my measurements are right, trying to use the roll pins I have for the FAL in the FN49 will lead to a classic example of hotdog in the hallway. I do have a box of different size pins, but the largest one is 0.250. So, I decided to punt with what I had: I know that with the 0.3085" locking lug (it is the one that was in the rifle), it closes with both the go and the nogo gauges. So I replaced it with the 0.3120" and it only closed with the go gauge. That is the smallest gauge I have that does not close on the nogo but that does not mean it is the smallest one I could possibly use.

Thoughts?

Well, when I re-barreled the beat up old Egyptian 8mm I had, with a new barrel, the planets lined up and I didn't need to replace the locking shoulder. Having said that, IIRC Gunplumber used to have an abundance of FN-49 locking shoulders and the knowledge of how to use them.
