does shooting a Glock hurt your finger too?

put 50 thru one the other day and the back side of my trigger finger hurt, don't have that problem with a 1911.

Bought 2 x 40's about 13 years ago. Shot them once and they pinched the shit out of the back of my trigger finger. Sold them right quick. My 9mm doesn't pinch the back of my finger but it rubs the hell out of the side of it where it rubs on the trigger guard when I shoot more than 500 rounds. I've smoothed the TG as much as I can but it still sucks. Probably why I carry my M&P now...

Put 50 through my G43 the other day and left my right index finger rather sore. Also wore out my wrist and caused me to pull to the right when shooting my 1911.

Glad to know it's not just me. I'll probably get rid of this Glock soon.

Yes, it does. I found that the frame flex on the G22 and G21 during firing opens the gap between the trigger guard and trigger. This allows my trigger finger to get pinched when the gap returns to normal. To counter act this, I just put on a band aid or piece of tape around my trigger finger to keep it from entering the gap. It is funny though, that when shooting weak hand, my trigger finger isn't pinched.

i don't know about that, but even holding a glock makes your penis shrink, and i have heard that shooting one makes you grow breasts and speak in a higher pitch.

I actually could stand to have mine shrink a bit to stop sitting on it. How many rounds would it take, you think?

Sounds like there's some guys around here with really tender hands. I *work* using my hands, and they look like a pair of worn leather boots, so no, shooting my Glocks doesn't hurt a bit.

For those bothered by the Glock trigger, try shooting 20rds through a Davis Derringer in .38 Spcl on a 30 degree F day with no gloves. The 50lb knife-blade trigger doesn't even feel good on warm days, if you catch my drift...

I've put thousands of rounds through Glocks and the triggers have never bothered me.

Maybe skip the doughnut in the morning and do a few extra laps to keep them fat fingers in check.

If you think they pinch with their normal firing frame flexing like a spring door stop,,,,you should see how they bend in half at the trigger guard when they blow up....

But you probably wont,,because commie glock will sick a dozen lawyers and a few gag orders on you fast enough to make your head spin...

Fuk glock..

No, but GLOCK grip frame geometry slams the *beavertail* right into my thumb knuckle on every model I've fired and it is unpleasant, to me.
I have small hands, so maybe it is related to that fact.

I have a friend who is a GLOCK man (I'm a 1911 man) and through the years, he has allowed me to fire probably 6 or 8 different GLOCK models of his.
Each one led to the same result.
I have never owned a GLOCK and don't think I'm missing out.

I defer to others, with regard to the *penis problem*...

Same here. But my BHP hammer chews the crap out of the web of my hand. Pinches it between the hammer and beavertail. 1911's with curved mainspring housings beats the heck out of the palm of my hand. Straight housings don't.

And the Glock trigger pinch is limited to Glocks only. I get that pinch from every polymer framed full sized pistol I have shot. Well except one, and that is my Shield in .45 ACP. And it has the APEX trigger on it. But I still shoot them and have a good time. My current carry is a CZ 75 Compact. All metal, 14+1, DA/SA and accurate. It will stay that way until something else comes along.

2 minute video showing the Glock Frame flex under varying rounds in mag. Notice the area above the trigger. This flex, I believe, is what pinches my finger.

Pretty amazing how much the grip frame up near the barrel flexes up. Damn.

I have found Glocks pretty reliable but not accurate and I don't particularly enjoy shooting them. I have one that works but it's never been right since it left the factory. It's just sitting in a box now and maybe some day I'll get an aftermarket barrel for it and other parts. Come to think of it I probably just need to sell it and put the money into something else.

I have a Glock 22 that I fitted with a Pyramid aluminum trigger system. Shooting either the 40 or 357 Sig rounds has the trigger safety chewing on the pad of my trigger finger. Even the factory plastic parts were less than comfortable.

Also had a 27, 29, 36, along with that model 22. Always found it hard to love Glocks and their striker fired system. 1911s and CZs are where my comfort zone is. All but the 22 is gone now. Nobody wants a 40 anymore. It's paid for and don't take up any safe room, so it lives on.

But there are so many different brands and styles to choose from that everyone finds that happy place. Something out there for everyone.

The ejector broke in that Glock?

The flex in the frame is shocking and even the disassembly lever pops down early in the video.
I've had a few and have been an armorer in the past. Been out of and away from Glocks for a long long time now and will not return.

Agreed.
Any Glock that's inaccurate has a loose nut behind the grip. I don't like the pistols and would be hard pressed to rely on one but inaccurate, they ain't. I'll give them that.

Slab sided what?

The ransom rest holds the pistol more firmly than a hand so probably induces more framw flex rathee than transferring energy into a hand/arm.

Both of my Glocks have had some work inside trigger guard to get the tip of my trigger finger off the floor of the guard. No trigger finger pinch after that.

I only shoot BHP’s with the ring / commander type hammer. Best solution there is against hammer bite.

My Glock 17 Gen4 underwent significant changes. Storm Lake barrel, larger disassembly lever, 3.5lbs trigger connector, mid size backstrap with beavertail, tungsten guide rod and a larger slide release to make it a better gun.
