Technical question about the MG4.

I found this photo of an HK MG4 LMG with the barrel removed and the bolt forward. I noticed this cut on the bolt that looks like an ejector clearance channel. I know that AK pattern bolts use them and from what I've seen, the MG4's bolt is partially modeled on AK principals (two locking lugs, claw extractor).

If the MG4 uses a fixed ejector, where is it located? I'm asking because it and the MG5, like most Browning MGs and the FN MAG, utilize downward ejection.
