Jim Miller, also known as Killer Miller, Deacon Jim, was the most professional and feared killer of the Old West. Used a shotgun and body armor, Deacon Jim was a genuine assassin. Liked going to church too.

Millers reputation exceeded him as a man who would always stand and shoot, he was an efficient killer, going about his trade with professionalism. As a hired assassin he would prefer to kill with a shotgun blast at close range, the power of which guaranteed instant death to the unfortunate victim receiving it. His victims were generally shot in the back and at night after Miller waylaid them at the road side or in an alley.

Was vaguely aware there was someone like that in history. Heard them referred to couple of times in conversation. Was also aware that most people killed by gunmen in Old West were blasted in the back, a lot of times with shotguns. However, did not know specific person or their history. Thanks for informative post.

The Deac did mention he killed so many Mexicans he lost count, for some reason genuine crazies seem to have an inordinate attraction to dogs.

Wouldn't this make a great "Next" movie for Quentin Tarantino !

Of course, Deacon Jim would have to be Black, or at least Brown.

All victims would have to be white.
The shotgun as a favorite weapon would be perfect.
GREAT visuals with big holes, oodles of fake blood, etc.

It would make TONs of money and Quentin's Hollyweird pals might even give him an Oscar !

That ending might have to change a bit though.
Graphic is fine, but people of "Color" would, no doubt, object to the lynching.

Please God no not a Quentin Tarantino movie. Then there will be a frenzied run on side-by-sides and shotgun shells, just as I want to switch to that to get away from the 5.56 frenzy.
