Jamaican Red Stripe for me.

It helps a lot to actually be in Jamaica when you drink it. It doesn't taste any different, but hey, you're in Jamaica, mon.

Golden Anniversary poured in a fancy little glass then scrape the foam off with a butter knife, followed by a song and dance routine.

Screw it. Where'd I set my Yuengling?

In college we called it Jenny screamer due to the condition your bowels would be in the morning after. I always preferred the old red eye👍

Yuengling brewery is located 23 miles from home. I prefer the Yuengling larger.

I spent 3 days at the USGP in Indy. That's all there was. I will never drink it again. Had my fill and then some for almost 2 decades.

Orval trappist ale.
My own homebrews and clones bring the cost of this way down to about a buck a pint and there are no MSG's or a ton of added sulfites and other chit added into it. All that is there is Barley, Hops, Malt, Water and Yeast!
Probably one of my favorite beers that is "commercial" and what i'd call a lawn mower beer would be Sam Adams Boston Lager. I can make it (a clone) but it costs the same so why bother.
For an IPA, dogfish head 60 or 90 minute (never found the 120) the newer IPA's are WAY overhoppped in my opinion.
For a plain jane commercial Major beer, I could choke down a coors original.
Any miller product puts me into a super hangover after about 4 OUNCES. They load it with some chemical or something.

De Koninck - Antwerp's finest. It's a Belgian thing, kind of like FALs.

I have been educating my palate with craft beers of all persuasions for the last six years or so. I have really tried to like the IPA's but my taste buds have said emphatically, "NO!" Tried to like the bourbon barrel aged beers. Nope! If I want to drink something that tastes like bourbon, I'll drink bourbon. I'm also tired of paying $12-14 for a sixpack of craft beer. I'll stop now.

I drink PBR at the Local bar On Tap ,, Yuengling At home !
My all time favorite is a Thai beer I found last fall and Indeed I drank enough of it to ""Float a Battleship""

Pabst Blue Ribbon. Established in Milwaukee Wisconsin in 1845. The beer of good sheep Shearer's everywhere. It bestowes imortality and makes us tuff. In excess it can cause testosterone burns on the top of your head and therefore lead to baldness. It is yet one more thing that proves that Jesus loves us and wants us to be happy...
If you can find it, Grain Belt from New Ulm, Minnesota is pretty good also.

1000+ year Brewery!

Has to be Greene King's 'Abbot Ale' - much copied stateside but never the same!

https://www.greeneking.co.uk/our-beers/abbot-ale/
and
https://www.beer-genius.co.uk/brand_...ion.aspx?Id=12

2 or 3 20 oz pints of those - on an empty stomach, will really get you going! Be warned!

But on a hot day, their IPA is also fantastic - a little less high in specific gravity, lighter but also more herbal !!!
UK Ales are kept cold - low 50's in Fahrenheit in the cellar, and are typical sipped at, not chugged. So the flavours come out, as the beer warms - there is an unfolding flavor, 'cold' doesn't allow the flavor to come forward - but beer can be too hot, even in the UK climate!

My favorite is “FREE BEER”. You can get it most anywhere beer is sold. 😎

But if I must buy my own, Old Style for an American lager (grew up in northern IL, so, yeah) and Guinness Stout (meal in a pint glass, never lets me down; I spend too much time in pubs playing darts).

I’ll drink virtually any dark beer (porter, stout, brown ale, etc.). I also love most Belgian-styled beers.
