Friday night drinking music

The wife is not yet home from watching grand-kids today, so I'm here in the garage perusing the files.

One of the kids got me a BlueTooth speaker thing for Christmas. We are supposed to have a $25 gift limit for all, so I suppose it was around that anyway.

It is made by Monster Rove, model mrove-BH2. I've been playing with it off and on since Christmas and the sound is awesome.

I have a laptop on the bench out here and the speaker is across the room on a safe. I have played various Pandora stations, saved MP3s, and a couple of CDs on the laptop that streamed over to the speaker. Honestly I am danged impressed with it.

I also paired it with my phone that has numerous saved MP3s as I see good use for this thing by the pool next summer.

Currently it is playing a few Simon & Garfunkel tunes I had not listened to in forever. Pretty good stuff brothers.

Here is a tune to start you all off. Life is good!

Driving from Chandler AZ back home to NM 427 miles the other day, I listened to Paul Simon Graceland and his live in some park CD. Some days it's Van Halen, Dylan, Fleetwood Mac, Eagles (when I can find that CD) and some days it's a more mellow drive. It varies.

She's hot and she can rock. And it never hurts to have Joe Bonamassa backing you up.

Here's another lady that has recorded/toured with Joe Bonamassa, though not with Bonamassa on this track. Beth Hart.

Some of her compositions are veritable poetry. Case in point:

Yeah, it's cool to make room for other stuff and still get some tunes.

I saw David Lindley playing for Jackson Browne, circa '76-77 and he was really great. I've enjoyed his playing for years. El Rayo X anyone?

Roll it over to 6:36 and get ready for your jaw to drop.

Some of his fine work with Mr. Browne on guitar:

And on fiddle:

Excellent music all! Many thanks for posting this.

I'll go a little bit harder. Fair warning.

Hell Yeah doing "Drink Drank Drunk"

Pantera "Revolution is My Name"

Notice: same drummer in both videos.

Jimi Hendrix Live "Who Knows"

Ok--a little bit softer.

Sarah Mclachlan "Building a Mystery"

More softness

Paula Cole "Where Have all the Cowboys Gone"

Sobering interruption--dog puked on the carpet.

Here is a pic of when I was getting ready to sell the speakers (Klipsch Palladiums). You can see some of my CD collection in the back ground. Also a gratuitous pic of the front of the speakers.

Nice speakers! I have a set of Klipsch but not the high end ones like those. I'm running a pair of R 28 F speakers with a Yamaha amp @ 145 w per channel.
