I still like Chocolate

It's just about to become a staple. So yeah I like it. Here the weather has been cool and it doesn't melt. I still scrape it off the wrapper during the summer and tastes the same so does the goo on the seat that oozes out. Summer is on the way hopefully.

That is all

Yep... it's a vegetable, like coffee and carrot cake.

Chocolate makes me happy, it therefore keeps me from being sad, which by effect keeps me from going postal, so by deduction is good for you, and your health. Ergo, chocolate is healthy. You're welcome. Applies to coffee and carrot cake as well.

When I was 13-14, we lived in Australia. We took a vacation trip to Tasmania with another ALCOA American family. It was a blast and we eventually wound up in Hobart. Cadbury had what was then the largest candy factory in the Southern hemisphere located there. We all took a guided tour of that factory and it was pretty damned amazing. There were "vats" of chocolate at least 20' in diameter, who knows how deep, that had huge paddles stirring around. The chocolate smell was almost overwhelming. Of course, one of the best things about the day was getting fresh samples as we toured that factory.

Cadbury sold a candy bar back then called "Jamaica Rum" iirc. Dark chocolate, with raisins and some sort of nuts...and yes, a rum flavor too. Big-ass bar was .20 Australian. Oooo weee. I had a few of them while in Oz...

Well, well, what do you know? One can still get them; oh, that's just great news for an old diabetic.

I am seeing a mental picture of Johnny Depp as Willy Wonka right now and it is freaking me out.

The wind blows, the rain falls, the flag snaps its bravery in the dark as two dogs boil for attention at my feet.

Of course it is a true story. You just couldn't make up something like that, no way.

Dark chocolate goes great with red wine, especially a Merlot in the winter.

Yeah! That is so true!

Back when I lived in Central America, we had about 6 or 7 cacao trees in our yard. Used to crack open the little seed pods, they look like footballs, suck the white liquid off of each seed, dry the seeds in the sun for a few days, roast them, grind them up and then make the world's best hot chocolate by combining the ground cacao with sugar and water, boiling it and adding some ground cinnamon bark from a cinnamon tree also in the yard. 100% homemade bliss. Beats Nestle all to hell.
