What else can you say? mexico says disproportionate use of power. Anything under 50 cal is not disproportionate. I grew up in south San Antonio with rock fights a common occurrence in between different "cultures". Sometimes those rocks were bricks. Getting beaned can be a no brainer.

Of course these two agents will be incarcerated within the year just like Campos and partner. Can't offend our neighbors can we.

golf ball or just slightly larger can do even at a moderate distance

and for a historical (or religious, if you prefer) perspective just look at the story of David and Goliath,
a rock from a sling will be absolutely deadly given the right combination of rock, sling, and the right
person using the combo, and if from a elevated position & given distance

and don't even get me started on slingshots ............. the trouble that I got into as a kid with mine

....those little fkrs have not , so far,tried real sling shots as in Roman days(and David). Extremely accurate , hit at 75+ yards with same velocity as a light loaded 45 when used with an oblong lead weight. Learning curve about 50 rocks to achieve unbelievable accuracy, before the rotator cuff tear.

It will be one more log on the fire but BP agents should carry CS gas and a CS gas launcher. If folks want to throw rocks, gasem or use rubber bullets. The Israelis been doing this for years and wrote the book on neutralizing rock throwers.

Let's consider the "power factor" that's involved. PF calculated by multiplying the weight in grains times the speed in fps, divided by 1000. Common as an indicator of energy, as used in pistol competition, needed to make "major"

A 5.56 bullet of 62 gr at 3000 fps comes out to about 186 PF. A .45 equates to about a 180 PF. An MLB pitcher tossing a 5.25 oz baseball at 90 mph is hurling a missile with a PF over 303!
A one-half pound rock thrown at near to 85 mph is roughly a PF of 436 !!!!!!
Even a wimpy-armed assailant, hurling at half that speed is still gonna be loosing energy at more than 21% greater than the venerable .45. A two pound brick at 40 mph is over 820 PF... almost half that of a .50BMG !

The rock throwers are NOT under-gunned!

Arguments can be made on the penetration vs KD power all week long and the engineer types can do all the speed/mass/energy calcs they want to; but I'll take the underpowered bullets vs the evil speeding mass of the rocks any day.

I'm not an expert on history by any evaluation, but I don't think our government officials are either. They seem to be unaware of the French Revolution.

They should bust out the CS gas grenades, and the Mexicants should maybe try to do something about letting their people cross the border illegally. I am really disgusted by the view from people illegally in our country that they have special rights, such as the right to stone officers, vote, get health care, free school, etc. I would never expect any of that if I had snuck into another country. I would expect to be on my own in every way.
