Ruger LCP belt clip

I recently got my CWP! I have a few different pistols in 9mm, but I wanted to get something more discreet. My LGS had Ruger LCPs on sale so I decided to pick one up. I ordered a belt clip for it to minimize the profile on it. While most would suggest keeping it chambered so long as it's in a holster, i'm curious to whether anyone would suggest against carrying it this way if it only had a belt clip. When it's in my waistband the trigger is covered by my pants. Suggestions?

Thanks

I carry a LCP in my left hip pocket, no holster, round chambered and I feel fine.

These work great. Attach the lanyard to your belt or belt loop and stick the pistol in your pocket. When you pull it out for use, the lanyard uncaps the trigger for business. Very similar to the Taurus Curve.

Look at 00.20 of the video below to see what I mean.

This past Valentines day. Local couple go out to a nice restaurant, he is carrying an LCP with a belt clip inside pants, appendix carry. After the romantic dinner is over they get back into the car. He readjusts his seatbelt and pants. Gun discharges. Wounded in both testicles. Able to drive himself to an emergency room.

I carry an LCP or a Glock 43 in right front pocket nylon sticky holsters. Trigger guard is covered. Stays upright in position and easy to draw from. Have to remove holster from pocket to reholster.

I searched around after tac-40's post and found these: https://www.cooksholsters.com/trigger-guard-cover/

They offer belt clip minimal holsters too.

I ordered one this afternoon and will report when I try it.

If you have to defend your family or your own life, is the convenience of those crappy little guns worth the lack of ammo, sight radius, loss of velocity?? Would you really want a gunfight with one of those?..sorry, off soapbox now. Bring enough gun and God bless.

Sights are irrelevant on that gun.

You will NEVER use the sights if you are using that gun for its intended purpose.

A 9mm or .380 in the 8-ring is very effective for a "get-off-me" gun.

As WEG said it is a "get-off-me" gun. One in the hand beats one under the front seat all day.

I am retired, but do yearly department day and night qualification with all pistols I carry. 3 yards to 25 yards. Don't have any issues with the Ruger LCP. That said it is an arms length, parking lot pistol.
