Angry Got my Swiss Minimi Para in, full auto ; )

Hi,

Just got my Siss minimi in. Made by Astra (not Spain).
Swiss Astra makes two models. A semimodel and a full auto. The semi has a fake feedmechanism and works only with a magzine. This one is the full auto and works like the FN minimi. MAgs and beltfed.

Ammo indicator. When the last 4 rounds are left, you can't see then no longer. This red flag gives an indication. Original M1 minimi's had this feature too. It's obsolete now.

Folding grip

This ejectionport didn't function right. It opens manualy not by the spring.

Bought it as a new weapons, got blue/green cordite left? WTF?

The bolt seems to be made by the poorest lowest bidding company. Rough, rusty. What a shame for "swiss quality". My ass!

Unfired?

Compares a FN Herstal bolt below and the Astra on top.
Not much words are needed to say that FN is top quality, and this looks like el cheapo made in china...

The fronthandguard is empty, no tools, cleaning set. The holes aren't even drilled.

This is odd, when you try to close or open the bidod, it hasn't got the clearance to open with a soft pouch.

The para stock has also a lot of play!

My advice and conclusion.
  • It looks cool and it's a beltfed
  • The parts aren't made to the same quality FN does
  • Some things are just plain stupid like the bipod that can't get open or closed with a pouch

To expensive for the metal you got in return.
It's the B version of the real thing. A wannabe

I would have expected much more as well being Swiss made. That bolt is absolutely terrible. Nice welds though!

Sucks about the crappy and missing parts.

Don't think I would fire that "factory" bolt.

You have to remember Paco is only an internet identity. It is not his given name.

In reality he is a 17 YO school boy in Minneapolis. He grabs photos off the internet and pretends he owns all this stuff.

This ruse of a flawed Minimi is just to get your withers up because he knows you’d give your left nut for it.

If Paco wasn't so good to share pictures of his bounty might have to start hating on him. Wife and I are still kicking around the idea for going back across the pond to catch the tworld stages of upcoming Le Tour in Belgium so for the moment don't want to be a hater. If world goes sideways while on his side of the pond am hoping he will take in any strays that can stay awake through their watch and man their post when things get sketchy. Might not have time or safe travel conditions to Switzerland where know a Paco type kindred spirit or three.

Not yet investigated. Just waiting for the exportpaper and send it back...

Every AK47 from "farawaynistan" has a higher level of finnish on there bolts.
It's simply shamefull what they produce and how they handle it.
No box, no tools, no manual, not cleaned and still top Europrice, hmmm.
Luck the shop kept his word and does a refund.
For 11.000€ i can buy 10 MG53's mint condition or 5 FAL's selective fire.
Perhaps 15 Eastblock MG's

that bolt looks terribly cheap.

I like the rotating stock fold.

Otherwise it looks sweet.

Paco,

What’s the process and cost to obtain ammunition for you and how often can you utilize your pieces at the range? Any issues with transporting your pieces around?

Thanks,

GenMeagher.

223 ammo cost like 230$/1000pc

Full auto's can be "testfired" for as long as needed to maintain and repair the weapons. So, like anytime but not like knowcreek...
