Suggestion for mag transport.

Awhile back I had a great canvas Web magazine shoulder bag that held 5 FAL mags perfectly.
Anyone have a clue what would work for carrying spare mags?

Chest rig, battle belt, surplus ammo can, or a stray burlap sack can all work perfectly well.

The best solution for a two-gun match is not the same answer as for coyote shooting.

Why, when, and where do you want to carry extra mags would help define a "best" (or better) solution.

The intent is to have then in the truck while running around the farm. We have a coyote problem down here. And sometimes just to toss them into the 4 wheeler and check the fences. More or less to keep spare mags in one easily accessible place, not just laying on the truck seat. I used to use a mag purse for AR mags when I carried it around.

I will throw out an alternative for your stated purpose that will raise eyebrows, but I am serious.

A walk through your local Walmart in the ladies purse section will give you every size, shape, color, pocket variable, and shoulder strap length you can imagine....and all for probably $10 or less.

My personal shaving kit that travels the globe with me is just such an item, actually a ladies "clutch purse" with a divider in the center and a small zippered side pocket. Not too big, not too small, and not just one single opening, which is generally the options I have found with actual men's shaving kits. Yes it has some Indian blanket weave pastel pink stripe around it. IDGAF. Who sees it except the hotel maids?

Now I am not advising carrying a ladies purse around for your local two-gun match, but a $10 mag pouch to throw in the farm truck/4 wheeler is another option open to your own comfortability in your manhood.

YMMV

The 4 pocket 5.56 ammo bandoleers are made to do double duty and hold mags also..
Obviously AR mags, but the ones I have are plenty big enough to hold FAL mags just fine.
Dirt cheap too,,I bought a bag full years ago for like $.50ea

Individual first aid kit pouch will hold 4each 20 round fal mags nicely.
The other plus is that these are cheap and readily available too.
Considering, well, you know...with all the wars we're in...
