Scope mount options?

I wanna put either a little red dot or a 1x4 scope on my C 93 but I don't wanna spend $100+ for the mount. Whats out there? Thanks, Mick.

Mick - I am afraid anything cheap will get you frustrated and end up in the bin... your best option is to score a surplus clamp mount in the Marketplace (sometimes in the $60-$70 range) and add a $15 Stanag-Picatinny adapter. (So you are going to keep that C93 in the end? )

Yeah, Im gonna keep it. I just ordered a collapsible stock for it from hkparts.net.
I would like to add optics to it but I hate the claw mounts. I was thinking about buying one of the cheap UTG mounts but I have a feeling that its gonna be a waste of $$

Shell out the extra cash for a quality mount, you won't regret it.

Frequently folks, after having spent their budget on the rifle, will shortchange their optics setup - perfectly understandable. IMHO, this is a HUGE mistake as the optics are just about as critical as the rifle. If your rifle malfs, you will almost certainly know it at once. Remediation is most likely easily possible. If the optic fail, you may not even be aware of the problem until it is too late, and even if you do realize it, the only solution is probably to dump the optics and go to irons. That's fine if in fact you detect the problem in time, but it automatically means the loss of the capabilities you got the optics for in the first place.

I'm with you - been there, done that I finally got to the point where I realized "pay once, cry once" really is true. Hurts to budget, but in the end optics are one place where a careful selection of quality components really pays off in the end.

I'm going to buck the trend. I use this UTG Mt. on my V93, It's been solid performer for over 5 years and thousands of rounds.

Two things, use blue thread locker and don't over tighten the mounting screws.

I went with a B&T Mount. It’s rock solid and definitely inspires confidence.

I bought one.
Cut it to 5 inches long.
He ran a 7/8" ball mill down the back
I welded it to my PTR91.

MFI, makes a very low profile mount. Michael Frost is also a FAL guy and it is made in USA. There is a discounted one in marketplace this morning.

I had a B&T and while nice, I didn't see any justification for the extra cost. I use B&T on my PKMs because it was the only choice, but the MFI is essentially the same for 30% less. Robert has the Chinese one for around $25
