Cz82... now what

So I decided to finally use my c&r. I have a cz82 on the way. Iím really looking forward to seeing how sheíll shoot. Itíll be an oddball caliber in the stable for sure, but I may grab a p64 to rationalize buying dies and adding it to the reload fold. Anything I should know, or spare parts or springs I should have on hand. Thanks in advance.

Excellent guns you'll enjoy it. I feed mine a diet of monarch steel case. You can get it cheap at Academy. Being a blowback gun it recoils differently than 9 Luger.

I'm really looking forward to her showing up. A range report will be coming up.

I got a set of springs from Wolff a few years back. Three in the set, if I recall. The stronger one made a big difference in recoil.

The 82s are really nice pistols. I surprised myself with the first shots through mine. I used some Fiocchi hollow-points and couldn't believe the results. It made me look like a good shooter!

I read about the spring change. IIRC, 14lb is stock, they have the 16 and 18lb. The 18 being for “hot” ammo. I feel no real need for hot ammo, so I may pick up the 16lb spring just to see the difference. Heck even my reloads for my 1911’s are mild, but hell they group well and feed and function great. Plus it saves a bit of powder

I scored one in a trade for a H&K91 clone (C308), and have been very happy with it.

The CZ-82 has been my EDC for the past 5 years. I feed it silver Bear hollow points. Excellent pistol all and all.
