Multicam Para FAL

Rainy day project. I wasn't sure I wanted to commit to a spray job so I tried tape first:

Removed the receiver tape:

Definitely better grip.

I'm the opposite, if you don't do the whole thing or at least pretty near, what's the point?

Trijicon MRO.

Getting the tape on the receiver is too much of a bitc*.

Not really sure if I want to stay with this. I didn't want to spray paint it, regret and then spend 3 times effort to try get the paint off.

Some of the camo tapes out there have the ability to retain moisture if they get wet, leading to corrosion of the underlying metal surface. Make sure to change it out if your rifle gets wet. Or just paint it and have an extra barrier for your rifle's finish. Seriously, painting is addictive, so watch out. Black rifles are ugly. Be one with your surroundings. Do not seek to stand out.

Good to know. Thanks for the info. I generally don't shoot in the rain but I am in the PACNW so it does rain a lot here. It started raining a bit when I was leaving. The rifle kicks like a mule but ran reliably with 147 gr Winchester.

I made the mistake of trying camo tape on my Ruger Red Label for duck hunting.

The finish was never the same after removing the tape.

The MRO is great for the Para. I like it better than the Aimpoint Micro. Get the American Defense throw lever mount to get it good and low

Play with the gas setting if you haven't already. "Kicks like a mule" and "FAL" are not typically found in the same sentence.
