Very true. I have an old '94 Dodge dually that's probably going to be reactivated from welding truck use to recreation status. It's a rough old bugger, but it has the wonderful 12 valve Cummins engine. 21 mpg is nothing to sneeze at. It's been sitting out behind the shop for a year plus... so maybe it's time to drag it out and spiff it up a bit.

I have a good awning and a canopy to cover the "field kitchen" and the later BS sessions. And if 20 rounds don't get it... I'm taking your beer. I have your cooler anyway.

You should really try to smuggle us some good chit with ya

Got hooked on it back when I was hauling a 15 horse van out to Versailles from Kommiefornia. Been trying to get some here for close to 4 years with no luck. I remember the first time I tried it... Sorta... Was after we toured Woodford Reserve... Which was after Four Roses... Which followed Wild Turkey... After we started at Maker's Mark. I really felt sorry for the messican horse groom that PlayMor Farms lent us to drive the diesel Excursion they also lent us... Till he insulted bourbon at Wild Turkey, then not so much. 4 truckers touring distilleries and ending up some place outside Frankfort drinking bourbon barrel ale because we didn't make it to Buffalo Trace before close. That'll teach him

Earlier this evening, I saw a Mason jar being rolled up in a chest rig and stuffed in a cardboard box which was small enough to fit in a suitcase.

I'm not sure what it was .....

I'm probably going to be getting there late Thursday just to get away for an extra day and listen to the coyotes. Got more stands welded up today for the 200 yard line.
So mid Thursday will be the last of me on the Files.

Going to attempt a Thursday evening arrival, but tomorrow's workload is looking more like a Friday morning eta. Should be a good time.

Sophia and I decided that we're not leaving Jonathan behind, but we can't leave until he's done with the math class. We're heading out at 1:30PM, and we'll see you around 6:30PM.

No... Exit 308 has the 3 chicks. Unless he got tired of them and kicked 'em to the curb already.
Believe me... I couldn't keep them here with Coffee Vixen. I would be singing soprano with the coyotes.

Dave: Tom wants to bring two *giant* stuffed animals to load with Tannerite... what say you? I told him if was even possible, he would be picking the fluff up....

On my original schedule I would be in Pasco WA now.

In my revised schedule I would being sitting in first class now between Minneapolis and Pasco with a 7:31pm arrival time.

In the reality of April 7, 2017, I flew up to Detroit this morning and spent my vacation day in the Sky Club, then flew back to Evansville and am back home now.

I FN hate air travel!

Maybe I will get to see some of you guys in OR in June

Yeah - I hate air travel so much it's hard to explain. I hate the circus-like faux security measures more than anything.

Hoping to see you and your Much Better Half in Oregon.

Post to say 'Thanks' to Dave, Rob, The C.V., Pat, Rich, Robin, and everyone that put on and/or helped with a great event:

Dave for being a great host and having the range in tip-top shape. What a great resource! Thanks for being so generous.

Rob and Dawn for planning work, organization the whole weekend, and Team Shoot event hosting.

Pat and Rich for cooking breakfast. Super good, and super cool of you all.

Robin for making a new event and hosting it. Thanks for the '2Gingers' Irish Whiskey! I hope it was good.

Special thanks to my pal Terry (and Whatsername) for birthday brownies and Mexican Cokes AND the Ginger Beer/Ginger Ale to replace me drinking straight out of the whiskey bottle. You people are The Goods. And thanks for my new coffee mug - I kept that bad boy full of ice and coke for the drive home. Made it without falling asleep, although it was close a couple of times.

Jonathan and Sophia had a great time, and I'm quite sure that a big part of Sophia's fun was all the kind words and support that she got from friends old and new. Thank you to all of you who welcome slightly awkward kids into your midst and make them feel special. I love you all.

Glad you made it home Jeff, was a pleasure to watch Sophia run through those plates as fast as she did. I showed the vid to my girls, and they all said "Told you gurls rock!" Future high power shooter she could be that one.
I second the thanks to the event organizers, how C.V. herds us cats without a cattle prod I don't know, but things wouldn't go so smooth without her I'm sure.

I got home a bit ago, took a loooooooong shower, shaved, and now feel human again.
Dave, as always you're a generous host and I always enjoy spending time with you and BIL Jim and Brother Wayne and Cousin Jaimie and Gandalf. Great to see you all.
Rich and Dawn, thank you guys for making the breakfast a success. It wouldn't have been without your generous teamwork.
I'm not going to try to name off every one of the attendees, because being the dumbst!t that I am I would probably forget someone. But I want everyone to know that these get togethers and the camaraderie are an important part of the good part of my life and I look forward to the next time. See you all then.

Invictus, I'm bummed that you didn't make it. Maybe some day.

EDIT TO ADD: I told you I was a dumbs!t. I forgot to thank Jeff for bringing all the eggs that we enjoyed at the breakfast. Thanks Jeff.

Hey Pat, you did great on the eggs yesterday, good stuff. I plan to bring more bannana bread next time, along with a second bottle of Baileys. Thanks to Gandolf for that idea.

My wife and I had a ton of fun- thank you, Dave for hosting- and everyone running the events. It was a blast! Wish we had more time and could have been up Friday to hang out a bit- or caught the breakfast that sounded pretty dang good!

Thanks all for the great weekend, it was awesome and great to see friends old and new.

Dave: Thank you as always for being 'mein host' and for once again letting us use your superb setup. I know a fair bit of effort goes into this behind the scenes, so a heartfelt thank you for from Tom and I

Rich, Rob, Dawn and Robin: Thanks guys for, as usual, running us through the events smoothly and safely, I'll have to remember to 'self medicate' on a morning shoot next time

Great to see everybody else, Pat, Jeff, Rich + Rich, Terry, Jason and all the other bunch of really cool people that make these events so much fun.

In the interests of public safety I will leave you with the anti-bear training video and photo's

Also wanted to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to Gary, who gifted me a spare extractor for my HK .22 kit - virtually unobtainium, what an awesome thing to do and very much appreciated....

...and also to Dave (MajHenryWest) who took the time to reunite me with my favorite headgear from the 1980's, the (in)famous British Army Craphat!
As modelled by the gent on the left.

Poor teddy. Just minding his own business.... Then proctology exam, surgery, and set out in the waiting room to wake up - or so he thought.
