Metal Form MAgs
Are they a good M-1911 A-1 mag?

I've only got a couple, they worked in my pistols without issue.
I try and run all the old military contract mags I can get my hands on, never had any issue with them ever. ![]() The ones with the contract numbers/letters all over the base plate.

They make genuine Colt 1911 mags. Marked with a Colt logo and an M stamp. Got a few, good stuff.

Metal Form has been providing OEM magazines to Colt for a number of decades. I have several that I bought in the early 1970's for my Colt Gold Cup NM .45 and to this day they still work just fine.
I have other MF made Colt magazines in .38 Super, 9mm Luger, 10mm Auto, and .22 LR. All high quality and trouble free. And so it goes. The Retired One |

Mine work as well as my Chip McCormick 8rd mags in my Sprinfield full sized. My old Colt Commander only liked Metalform or contract 7 rd mags.
