Is this the manual you are referring to?

I'm not really sure which one the OP had posted, he just mentioned it was the "User and Complete Assembly Guide from IMBEL".
I haven't torn down or rebuilt an FAL in almost 8 years, just looking for a refresher. |

I have a copy of the Imbel manual somewhere. I remember it being a bit more detailed than the typical Belgian manual that is commonly available. In the 1980's I had a manual that was suppose to be Rhodesian. I don't know if it was, but it might have been. It had instructions to set the gas at 4 (or 5, I don't remember exactly if it was 4 or 5) and DO NOT CHANGE the adjustment. It also included instruction for setting the sights by firing at 25 (or 30) yards (not meters) with the rear sight set on, "200." I think it might have been 30 yards. So that manual dated back to when the gas valve had numbers. I really wish I could find that manual again or find somebody that has a copy. I want to recall what the desired gas setting was and what the sighting in distance was. Those were the two additional details that I noticed weren't in the other manuals. The manual was dark brown and white or yellow, with an action picture on the cover, I think. It's been a long time since I've seen it.
