SSG-69

I ordered a couple of last new SSG-69's from CDNN. They only have a few left out of the last 1000 made in 2015. Get them while you can. .25" to .5" moa out of the box.

SSG-69 P1

I have one of the older SSG-69 P1 Heavy barreled 26 inch models with the single trigger. When GSI was around years ago I ordered the Black stock with the UIT rail underneath and ordered the Parker Hale Heavy barrel bipod with the UIT rail attachment. I took the Hensoldt ZF-800 off it and bought a Kahles ZF-95 and mounted it with The Steyr QD rings with the carry handle attached. I've owned Remington 700 Tactical's and Savage M10 Tacticals and they couldn't run against the Steyr SSG-69 P1 I have. I've shot in some Police Matchs before and all their .308's couldn't compete against me, Not even close at 600 Yards to boot. I still have some old Lake City 173 GRN match ammo, But the SSG-69 also likes the 168 Grn match ammo also.

If your going to buy just one, Buy the 26 inch barrel model, The longer the barrel, The better the accuracy at short or longer ranges.

I ordered a 26" single trigger and a 20" treaded bbl single trigger for use with a suppressor. Expect a Rem 700 in the MP soon.

My SSG dates to the early 80s, I've had it since 86. Does not look so much like it did way back then but still shoots nicely. The plastic bottom components have always been the weak point (I have used up three trigger guards) but mine now sports steel down there and feeds from AI magazines. actually taking it away at the end of the month because it has been neglected for too long.

Good rifles,,but the mags are the suck...
Andy actually got my spares and more important, the unobtanium rebuild parts for them, quite a few years ago when I got rid of my pair for stupid money during the awb..
But I see he's now gone a different route today..

Yep they shoot great I believe my best years back was a 3 shot 3/8"group at a hundred with federal match ammo. The mags are the weak point, I believe someone made some steel mags as well as bottom metal on sniperhide some years back. You may be able to locate these if you dig deep enough or another Ssg itself with these already installed. The set trigger option is sweet with a 2-ounce trigger which leads to great groups and a rifle that's hard to miss with.

....Styria Ams out of Austria. That is where my set came from and the ones I believe were being touted on Sniperhide. The new metal converts the rifle to use Accuracy International magazines.
