[QUOTE=tdb59;4686286]$.02 from a dood that has been designing shooting stages.... for....awhile..

Golf courses have fairways.

Set your course of fire, let the participants sort out their gear.

Sounds good to me

I bow to your wisdom , As I got roped into this and dont have a clue ... ,
thoughts on a course of fire would be much appreciated , I'm thinking
15 rounds for 4 plates at 100 yards , 4 plates at 150 yards and one
plate at 200 ( all hanging so no reset required ) against a timer and
if you miss just keep trying for hits using all 15 rounds

edit to add ; 100 yards standing , then choice of kneeling /sitting or prone
or standing for 150 / 200 , irons only

Simple is bestest..
Damn.

I can't tell if this is an echo, or Deja Vu.....

Kris,
Dont over think it!
Design a COF and post it up. The competitor's will figure out how to shoot it.

You'll drive yourself batshit crazy trying to figure all the variables..

Didn’t peg you for a liberal “victim.”

I will gladly trade you 2-3 handgun events
for one simple bolt action event.

LMK.

I think it's finally time to pull that trigger on that Ruger Precision Rifle, or something like it.

Is this something new?

Been shooting all flavors for years....can't say I've ever found the words "Ruger, and Precision" to be synonymous..

Actually, Ruger is doing these things right.
Have watched them shoot sub MOA out of
the box with factory ammo in 6.5 Creedmore.

But, but, but,.........they're kinda homely.

Or,

to paraphrase Townsend Whelen, "Only pretty, accurate rifles are interesting".

Yup, not kidding, and on more than one occasion.
Pretty popular back in Idaho at the range I volunteered at.
