Need a lead on a bullet mold

Looking for a Petersoli Gunn Trenk 550 gr bullet mold for the 45-70. It would seem that everyone that made this mold is either out of business, retired, or dead. Figured I'd post up here first, before I do something foolish and join the cast boolit forums and start selling off all my FALs to feed some fatal bpcr addiction. Anyone know of a company making these? Capable of making one? Have one you'd sell?

A possible place to either locate this particular mold or someone who knows where to find one would the Friendship, Indiana black powder shoot. They meet every year down here. Good luck.

Tom at Accurate Molds will make ANYTHING you want. I get all of my molds from him now.

Here is page 17 of his catalog and has some stuff he's already drawn up and made.

Shot off an email to NEI and Accurate, we'll see how it goes. Thanks for the info!

Because a large meplat is detrimental to consistent long range accuracy, and this isn't being shot at game. This bullet design is specific to the chamber on older pedersoli sharps rifles to get them to shoot a little better with their "unique" design.

Ok,,,strictly for paper punching.

My idea of 45-70 is for blastin or killing stuff...

Went rounds with a petersoli sharps in 45-120 back in the 90's,,, found out black powder cartridge just isent my thing..

Looks a lot like my Seaco 480gr mold. They use to carry a 520 or 550gr mold too.

Simply for ease of identification I usually do target stuff in 45-70 and the serious business stuff in a 450 marlin. I'd hate for someone to slip a hot .45-70 load into one of my trapdoors or something similar.

I just picked up a 1970's Navy Arms Pedersoli RB. I just bought and installed a Lee Shaver tang sight. I am working on a load for it, but I will probably go with 350 gr or less for 200 yd or less shooting. Very nice rifle.

You may find that the larger bullets work better for accuracy. Pedersoli uses a 1:18 twist that favors the heavy stuff, combined with their long throats and choked bores, they were set up for 500+ grainers
