Wished I'd been there but couldn't pass up going to a Skynyrd concert in Oklahoma with my son friday night. Got in too late to pack the truck and make another haul.

Big thanks to James for setting up the FAL shoot again this year.

Also to the "squad" that hefted it thorough the jungle to setup the gongs. I may still not be able to hit them but at least I can see them now!

Also thanks for Mickey for having the place. I like the new enhancements!

Great weather, good people, and shooting fun- there could not be a better way to spend a day!

It was nice meeting some new folks as well as others I have met in the past.

There was 2 or 3 times, maybe more, that someone from our group locked the comb lock onto the welded side of the gate lock. Locking it below the welded chain and lock body didn't allow the key holder to get out and then they had to come back down and get the comb to get out of their own lease. The last guy that came and got the comb had called Mickey and he said Mickey told him he wasn't the only on that had called. Last year it was the key holders bypassing the comb lock.

Now I have to call Mickey tomorrow and apologize to him for causing problems at the lease and I'm not real happy about that. I thought I had it figured out how everyone could come and go on their own but I guess that's not the case. Maybe next year I will have a set time to come in and a set time to go out.

Even with that problem I think a good time was had by all. We had a few new people, some of the same people that seem to always make it and the we had the people that didn't show up that said they were. Come to think of it really was just like every other year so nothing really changed.

I want to thank all the people that helped me take the targets down and get them set up. Dirtyrice, Gary104, Trevor, Mike, Henry and his two kids, and the other guy that I didn't get his name but was with Jermason I think. The funny thing about this is that I had fun doing it. Yeah it was heavy and we had to push through I don't know how many thorny vines, step over logs and such, repell (kind of) down the river bank and back up and then get back to the range. Good thing is nobody really got hurt and we didn't lose any tools.

Well my camera-fu was quite weak on saturday, but here is what I came out with. I didn't take many, and quite a few blurred. It was hard to get the right exposure because we were shaded by the trees but the opposing bank was very lit up by the sun.

And yeah the trek through the woods was kind of fun, there were was surely less blood and a lot more laughter this time.

Trevor ( this one was really over exposed and a little blurry.

Watch these in 720p by selecting the cog at the bottom of the window, then select 720p. The 360p looks like crap.

Next year i'll just have to camp out at the gate and buttstroke anyone who messes up the locks

the clarity and the color of those pics are beautiful... I love fall in N Texas. It is good for about a week, but it is good.

It was really nice to meet BNZ aka Bo and see some of the other old timers such as Rene (sp? sorry!) and Niblo and Darwin. Dirty.... your dad Mike is a pretty cool chap as well!
