Did the FN49 Argy/Navy/.308 Ever Come wi a Dovetail?

On page 51 of "The Last Elegant Old World Military Rifle" by Wayne Johnson, is the following [in part]" "No Argentine contract rifles have been REPORTED as having the scope mounting dovetail on the left side of the receiver....".

I wrote that in 2004 - with another 8 years worth of data, and observations of at least 1 Argentine contract rifle for nearly every block of 100 serial numbers, still no reports of a scope-mounting dovetail.

I would say it's safe to assume that none were equipped with the dovetail...

ill have one next week hopefully and can add probably another NO dovetail to the list haha
