Stormwerkz makes several different type of stock adapters for the Daewoo 200. One type will let you mount any tube type AR15 stock. The one that I prefer uses the ACE type skeletal stock. The adapter can be used either with or without a separate (priced separately) folding stock adapter. You would technically have to add 6 US parts to make it LEGAL under Federal Law - but that's relatively easy. Just use a US mag (3 US parts) and replace the original fcg (hammer, trigger, sear) - another 3 US parts -with US parts from an AR15 parts sets (they use the same parts). A US flash hider would be a 7th US Part - and a US buttstock would be an 8th US parts.

You would also need a pistol grip to use with the buttstock adapter. Stormwerkz has these I believe - but they are available elsewhere as well.

Its unfortunate that its not possible to either find or mount an original K2 folding stock.

If your friends rifle still has the muzzle thing still attached there's a solution for that too. THe thingy can be cut off (as there are standard threads underneath it). Best way to do that is to make two lateral cuts (on either side of the device) - with a metal cutoff wheel - doing it slowly and gently until you barely begin to see the pattern of the threads emerge in the cuts. Don't go too deep. When the threads are visible on both sides take a cold chisel and go to the front of the device (which should also be cut through) and give it a good wack with a 2 lb hammer. The device will peel off like the shell of a pistachio nut.

I looked at the stormwerkz product. Looks good. Question is where to get the pistol grip and the stock he used in the product picture. I have no idea who is "akfx".

Your best bet is to get one of the s0b3 pistol grips (looking like the original Daewoo grip), one of Josh's (Stormwerkz) Daewoo stock adapters, one of Josh's FSM units (folding stock modules (which is like the ACE unit but, unlike more recent ACE units that I have seen which were not really that stable, his is good and solid)) and one of the ACE modular FAL type tubular stocks. You'll probably want the medium length ACE stock if you're somewhat normal size.

Due to recent life events, I doubt that you'll have much luck getting anything from daewoorifleparts.com. Even if you still could, I'd still make the recommendations I did here.

If you're ever able to find one of Derek's (daewoorifleparts.com) 90 degree selectors for the daewoo (will fit the DR200 and earlier preban rifles (K2 and so forth)), pick it up...

Good luck...

You lost me on all the nomenclature for this or that . I am aware of the demise of Derek's deawoo parts...sad thing .

I only have the HK style in stock at the moment. They work well with Stormwerkz adapters.

My comment here in no way was meant to be something negative about the Stormwerkz 90 degree selector. I simply forgot that Stormwerkz was making them, and I'd buy one from Josh in a flash...
