I have been waiting for this to make it to market they announce this model several months ago. Just have to wait till the price comes down as it appears they just released these to the wild. Once these have been out for a few weeks the price will come down some then I will buy one for use as a Home Defense gun.

Well, well. Finally something that says" "GET OFF MY LAWN" as forcefully as my 18" Remy 1100 Magnum.

When they came out with the pump action versions of these I just didn't see the point.

A semi looks like it might actually be useful. Why must they keep making things that I want to buy?

Mad Max would approve.

That would be fun using a shockwave type brace.

Even if it has to be fixed out of the box I will have two fairly soon before they are discontinued or some such issue. Stuff between seat and transmission tunnel it would save trying to get the AR 15 out of the lock behind the seat. Loaded up with Winchester PDX1 Defender or Remington 24's or mix of the two will be a fist full of nasty. Now they need one in 20 gauge for the wife.

The "Tac 14" is $350'ish; Tac 14 is a pump, "Tac 13" semi auto, based on the Remington 1100

I have handled a Tac 14, and, you can take the 14" barrel off, and put on an 18" 870 barrel if you want to, or your are forced to by some state law.

I noticed that the Tac 14" is simply marked 870, like all Remington Pumps. It just has a 14" bbl, and you cannot prove that it is not an 870; it has no Tac 14" logo. I assume that the Tac 13" is the same situation, with just an 1100 logo.

Since the Tac 14" never had a shoulder stock, it falls into the "firearm" category according to Fed law, as long it is longer than 26", and it is, just like the Tac 13".

They were never built as a shotgun, neither is it an "other", as "others" are shorter than 26".

NYS says they are legal, but cops do not like them.

I actually prefer the 18" bbl, Win 1400 next to my bed; 3 shots is enough.

I know one online vendor is selling these for $699.95 and actually has them in stock.

So I agree MSRP is quite high but street prices are more realistic.
