I cannot believe Kelly did not just film your butt for the entire run. She has more self-control than I would have I think. Probably why you didn't hand me the camera.

I should have. Especially considering the first thing I saw on FB Monday morning was a rather gratuitous shot of my rear end posted by Mr. Nutt.

There is always next time. It's a long running joke in 3-gun (at least where I shoot!) that when you hand your phone to someone to take a video, there's no dang telling what you'll see during playback.

To be fair it was not just your butt. It was a perfect example of the perfect prone position that captured you, the Garand, and the targets in the foreground!

It's your story Jimmy, tell it how you want, but you must admit it was much more aesthetically pleasing than the rear view of the rest of us shooting prone

I wouldn't know, but at least that is what I was told

Wrong hashtag. It is the #yuotoo? movement.

Figured out what went wrong with the FA FAL.

The guts came out of the gas plug allowing it to rotate and send no gas to the piston.

Now I gotta figure out if the same plunger and spring and such work for Izzy vs Inch vs Metric?

I watched the video Jonathan made of me shooting the high power sub-event.

It appears that I pulled the trigger 31 times: 10 standing, 10 seated, and 11 prone. There are only 30 holes in my paper, so I didn't know at the time, and I didn't catch it until last night when I watched that video and counted my shots against my watch for a "per shot" time. Eleven in the last mag.

I called Bruce to tell him. I don't know how it happened, and I don't know if I downloaded a mag with 21 rounds in it or if I downloaded 9 instead of 10.

I told him that at the very least I should have a 'ten' deducted from my score, and it should read 239 instead of 249. Or I could be DQed depending on the rules.

Sorry to everyone in the group.

And this is how we find the good ones.

As near as I can tell this does not affect the outcome. Which, would make it an irrelevant data point if the flag hadn't been thrown by the 'perpetrator'.

I have said it before and I will say it again right here. I used to worry about the sort of persons I was inviting back to my house after the FAL match...until I realized they would all have been knights in another time.

Or in this case paladin(s)...I get confused.

Part of me almost hopes a gamer is somewhere squirming in his seat...wanting to make this an issue...perspiring heavily in their search for a rulebook to quote.

But no. No gamers here...at least not at a level I would call suffering.

Right?

Thanks guys.

I agree that it didn't change (luckily) the outcome. I'm still sorry about the mix up.

I told Jonathan to not take videos of me anymore. Paul's video of me couldn't exculpate me at the IPSC match, and Jonathan's video was more like a conviction.

I was so happy to have another US Marine at Stimpyís FAL Pilgrimage-that made 3 of us, so people were like, ďNo fair, thereís three of them!Ē

Hats off to Brunop for trying to get his score lowered. Thatís the kind of people that will have your back when youíre about to get taken out. My score for the target portion got entered lower than it was, but the FAL people at the Georgia Match, as exemplified by Brunop, are so honest and wonderful that, in this instance, I donít care. I walked away with a top prize, hung out with some of the coolest people in the world, and besides, this pilgrimage isnít about me, itís about us.

I saw your target and was surprised by the number in the results - so what should it have been?

100% agreed - Jonathan and I were talking about that. There's no way that that shot-group and that location was a 219 or 211 or whatever.

What's the real number? Inquiring minds want to know - even if just to compare to my guess - which was 258.

Well, seeing youíre asking Matt and Brunop, I did save the target.

Itís a solid 252, but really, it wouldnít make any difference at all in the outcome-heck-I even walked away with one of the two cans of 7.62X51 that were the top prizes!

Seriously, I absolutely accept the results.

That makes much more sense - the target portion has always been your strength. Well done!!!

For clarity. It didn't get SCORED right or it ddn't get ENTERED right?

You may not know...I can at least check the score sheet.

Yeah - that's what I thought. I didn't get a chance to look / score it, but I saw that group and told Jonathan that it was about 1.5" away from being ~280. I told him I thought it was going to be high 250s.

Unrelated to everything: I've been out of town so just got a chance to clean the FAL tonight. I've forgotten how easy it is to clean when in its original iron sight configuration. The design is genius in its simplicity.

I'm sorry I ever strayed, my lady - you are amazing!

1-I have an OD or DE Moses mag and a black Moses mag, who owns these?

2- Tac, I have your coins and patches, am I keeping these til next year or sending back to you? All donations go to the scholarship fund?

The mags were left near the starting point of the combat stage, so might have been first mag used. I remember loading blanks into several MMags.

Stimpy, your discretion there. You can keep them and sell them at the other RBGC matches you attend. All proceeds were and are for the Scholarship fund or other worthy cause you might have. Again, your discretion here. They were a gift from me. They are pure silver and sell for a little less than the price on them at the match. Or you could melt them down and recast them as bullets to be used in those "special furry animal" situations.

A bucket or two of used RBGC brass that is bonded together with melted Moses mags could be formed into a significantly impressive statue.

Just a thought.....

Understood and many thanks.

Check outbound to the scholarship fund.
