You got it the wrong way around. It's the 'Brush511 my SCAR has no soul shoot".

How about the "Brother Wayne Black Powder Destruction shoot".

"DaWhinney Invitational shoot" works too.

My girls decided to stay home and do girl stuff so I'm free to get sodded, I mean have a great time making steel plates fall. Providing finances and planetary alignment come together, I'll be arriving Friday mid dayish. I may be bringing a couple new toys to make noise with as well.
Do I need to bring the box of build goodness spares along? Just in case another Fnkid needs to be birthed in Daves' shop, you know.

I believe Rob is referring to tomorrow, for range maintenance. I'll be there around 9am, depending on coffee level at departure

Just woke up to the revised work party dates. I'm vehicle-less for the next couple of week unfortunately and Tommo made the HS ball team - sorry, I would have liked to have been there. I'm still in for April, but I'll be solo as Tommo has a full schedule of spring games.

And....

I'll be (really) camping, RV is staying at home for this one!

Har-de-har

This will be the third defender I've owned, and while I do expect it to keep me appraised of fluid levels based on garage floor puddle size, this is actually one of the genuine MoD GS models. It's upping the ante in terms of percentage of the year at the roadside:
  • 2.5 Naturally aspirated 4 cylinder diesel (0-60 in 2.5 minutes, with a tailwind)
  • No computers, turbos, digital throttles, EGR's or any other crap - London cab
  • NATO milspec Lucas crap as opposed to civilian Lucas crap
  • No power steering
  • No electric windows
  • A/C is the canvas and windows open
  • No stereo, vhs, microwave or hifi

Basically, about as simple (and EMP proof) as you can get.

Compare that to the BoV I just shit canned:

Which the course of 18 months:
  • Barfed about 50 gallons of oil
  • Shat a transmission
  • Shat two radiators (including a $2000 custom aluminum replacement)
  • Tried to kill me with a departing skid plate
  • Tried to shake me to death
  • Tried to financially support KSA/Syria/Iran with its consumption of petrol
  • The best fuel economy I got was on the back of a tow truck.
I reckon I'll scrape by. It's a bit like an L1A1, designed for purpose, fit for purpose, providing you remember it was assembled by a Brummy

Oh, yeah, I already own it, just subject to the vagaries of cross country shipping. Should turn up here in the next ten days. So it's 100% mine.

Already have been neck-bearding PRC 320 gear to give her a proper Clansman HF/VHF radio fit.

I did see an M249 compatible front passenger side swivel mount.. hmmmm

Get in maaa belly!

I hope it has a BIG steering wheel, Jonny. I remember the days before I had power steering. BTW, I think power steering is hydraulic, so should be EMP proof.

Fighting that worn out loader was a bit of work. You did good. Today I got to play with a long reach excavator. Pretty much a disaster.

I have an uncle thats been a heavy equipment mech./operator all his life. I was fortunate in my youth to have worked with/for him. Man, I got to do some really cool shit..

Tagged along to move some equipment on sub base Bangor. Uncles company was building bunkers on base to house Trident missle components. Saw where the subs came in and departed under a huge concrete building on the bay to conceal movement. Saw a huge building with 250 ft. lightning rods at each corner where they assembled the missiles. Security there was FREAK'IN scary!

Have a couple other stories I'll tell in April.

I've spent a fair amount of time on heavy equipment. If it weren't for the fact that it beats your body to death, I'd still be doing it.

If you're still around. That stuff might be secret still.

What's a rubber-johnny attachment and a lip-o-death?

They sound contagious.
