What kind of knife did Billy have in the movie Predator?

Billy pulls his knife out and cuts across his chest. What knife was that?

They look like they were well made, and I've been looking for a machete. I don't think it is one of those, but what was it? I'm watching the movie, and there were at least two of these knives.

I thought Gil Hibben made that for the movie.

Yes, it was made by Jack Crain. It's in the credits I believe.

Jack Crain made all the knives for "Predator."

At least that's what he told me in a phone conversation many moons ago.

Apparently, he has fallen on hard times or has fallen off the face of the Earth.

Those that have ordered knives up to 15 years ago have never received them nor have there been any communications from him.

Quite a few horror stories out there about folks losing a lot of money.

Never pay a custom maker up front in the knife world... Bad idea.

That explains a couple of things.

Not so much the stuff from 15 years ago...

Still, he made some great knives. RIP

.....this is the best advice that can be given to anyone getting into the custom knife arena. It should be repeated over and over and over again. The only knife I have never received in ummmmmm "many" purchases was one paid for upfront before it was made. The reoccuring theme on the knife forums in "undelivered blade commissions" is that "I paid on X date".

Funny thing about Sonny, they had to have a bodyguard on set for Predator with Sonny to protect everyone else from Sonny. Guess he was a lil bit dangerous.
