Chupacabra Sighting Times Two (TX)

Were they simply dogs too ugly to be believed, or something more dire and fearsome? A pair of animals mere miles apart has folks abuzz about the legendary chupacabra.

Geez, if they can do that to dogs you'd think they'd be able to do it to their women.

Why would they want purple women?

A young man identifying himself as Carter Pope claims to have shot and killed what he believes was a chupacabra in Texas. How did he know it was the legendary monster? Apparently, it was hairless and had "shriveled up" back legs.

Don't worry, they're everywhere.

A blood-sucking creature is preying upon goats near Novosibirsk. As rational explanations run thin on the ground, the specter of the so-called chupacabra raises its demon head.

Horrified farmers and smallholders are confronted by the drained corpses of their livestock in the morning, bloodless and bearing puncture marks to the neck but otherwise largely in tact.

But local cops are reluctant to record apparent vampire attacks, as they await official recertification, leaving the locals up in arms.

Alexandria, Minn. (KSAX) - Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials have been unable to identify a mystery carcass found in Douglas County with certainty, prompting further investigation.

The dead white mammal was spotted this week on a Douglas County road with five claws, dark tufts of hair on its back and head and long toenails.

Roadkill is nothing new for Minnesotans, but this curious creature got people talking.

ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (KSAX) - Two days after Minnesota Department of Natural Resources officials brought in a mystery carcass, found in rural Douglas County, no positive identification has been made.

D.N.R. Area Wildlife Supervisor Kevin Kotts said Friday that after examining the remains, there are no clear signs of it not being a badger, however its longer tail is inconsistent with badgers he has seen.

Kotts said there are clear signs that the animal was hit on the road, suffering skull fractures, but an intact jaw could help determine a positive identification.

He said he expects fur trappers who have more experience with local mammals to examine the carcass in the near future. Kotts said the animal was taken to the Glenwood D.N.R. office and it has since been frozen.

Cheese on crackers, has the chupacabra had a prolific summer. Now America's favorite prune-skinned mammalian cryptid is making a run for the White House. And I'm not talking about [FILL IN YOUR LEAST FAVORITE CONGRESSMAN HERE]! Political humor! Hey-yo!

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A mystery in Shelby County has people on high alert. Something is on the prowl, attacking animals and leaving them for dead. People say a creature attacked six goats -- five of which had to be put down -- and four calves in the past couple weeks.
