New Wide Foot Magazine Releases - Metric FAL

If you are just catching us now, we are on our 3rd batch of FAL wide foot mag releases sold in the last year. Not a SINGLE return.

These are stainless steel anodized hard coat black and are guaranteed for the life or your rifle.

They allow you to easily actuate your mag release with your right middle finger while keeping your other parts of your hand on your pistol grip while your left/support hand goes for more mags. Important when you’re in a hurry.

$49 each plus $6 shipping, Paypal to Lear70@gmail.com

Below is the original thread::: Enjoy!

—————-

Yes, you heard right. We have re-designed the wide-foot magazine release for the metric FAL and are offering it for sale at this time.

See the pictures, these will be done in Stainless Steel and either parkerized or cerakoted, haven't decided which yet, but price is the same either way.

Initial pricing is $49 each plus $6 flat rate shipping for however many you buy. Total $55 shipped for one, discreet gift Paypal to Lear70@gmail.com

Please post here if you want one and I will add you to the list. Estimated ship date is 30 days from today, the design and prototyping is already done, just need to get a feel for firm purchases to know whether to make 50, 100, or 200 of them.

When you send Payment, PLEASE EMAIL ME, do NOT PM here (my mailbox is almost full), and let me know what email address your payment came from as well as your name and mailing address. Hard to keep them organized without this info.

Without further adieu, here are the pictures in my metric FAL upper (lower removed to get clear pictures of all angles).

Steel production is what we are aiming for at this time, but we are also pricing it in 7075-T6 and 6061-T6 aluminum, want to make sure it will take the stress of a mag release.

Initial pricing is $54 each plus $60 shipping. If we get over 100 requests, price drops to $49 each.

Sorry. Typo. $6 to ship, $60 total is what I meant, but since we're getting so much interest, I can safely order 100 and drop the price to $49 plus $6 = $55 total each.

Thanks.

I'm in for (2) -- IF done in STEEL, and preferably cerakoted (black?) but the finish is not a deal-breaker...

Excellent! I have everyone down, keep the orders coming.

Machinist and CAD programmer confirmed, steel is the only way to go for where there is and the wear and torque the mag puts on it, so that's what we're doing.

I'm looking into Cerakoting vs parkerizing costs and will let everyone know what we end up doing. I don't want the grey park so if I can't get a deeper almost-black park, then we'll find someone to cerakote them.

I'm guessing shipping in two weeks. Due to the quickness with which I'm getting orders, I'm going to do 100 of them to start so I can go ahead and make it $49 each plus $6 flat rate shipping for however many of them you want, so one is $55, two is $104, etc.

Thanks!

It is good to see that someone is again manufacturing these mag releases. The supply of the old FSE mag releases has dried up. I know you will sell a lot of these. However, stainless steel cannot be parkerized, but it can be cerakoted.

I'll take one, cerakoted.

Best Regards,
Slo cat

No doubt. Lol

Thanks slo cat, I'll put you down for one.

That's why I made these. Checked with FSE, they aren't going to make anymore and one guy said the one of these he found that were your checkering job was like $00 bucks and I wanted one but didn't want to pay $100 for hen's teeth.

Glad you don't mind.

For NFADLR and HighRatMaster, they aren't cast and I'm looking into what material, I know they use 420 but I doubt they're using that good a stainless for this.

I'll let you know, but I put the prototype in my bench vise and yanked on the end with a pair of channel locks and it neither bent nor cracked. Gave it a few whacks with my hammer, too, same thing. Still works perfectly. Good enough for me.

Have one cnc that's not doing anything at the moment if you would like to submit a print and material.

I would go with a 400 series but ymmv.

Got you guys down, thanks.

I'll probably start taking payments in a couple days. I'm trying to finish up this Bren 805 project and get one other project to final prototype and two others into initial prototyping, so I'm a bit busy at the moment, but we should be good to go on Thursday or Friday for payments and production start.

If these will be made of stainless then the option is to black oxide or a nitride treatment like Smith & Wesson uses on it's stainless M&P slides because parkerizing will not adhere to stainless. If carbon steel is used you can get the black park by using Manganese Phosphate.

Thanks, Brad,

I'll look into what nitriding these would cost vs Cerakoting. Not sure who does large batches of small parts nitriding, if you have any ideas, shoot me a message.

Time for the weekend crowd to jump in...

I'm also accepting payments at this time. A few of you have already paid, I'll get that updated this afternoon, finishing my work week today and will have time to get it all organized.

Please make Discreet (NO mention of guns or gun parts) GIFT (Friends and Family) Paypal payments to Lear70@gmail.com

Please also, in the notes, put ONLY your FALFiles user name so I can match payments.

When that is done, please email me directly at that same email address with your mailing address.

Thanks!

Is shipping $6 for each one or is it flat shipping of $6? Just want to get this right so I don't screw it up.
